Which is Better: SANSA FUZE or IPOD NANO?

Hey,
as some of you probably already know, I can be incredibly indecisive, especially when it comes to buying stuff. 🤣
So I was wondering if you somebody could give some advice whether a Sansa Fuze or a 5th gen Ipod Nano would be a better buy for a mp3 player in terms of sturdiness (I'm tired of having my mp3s breaking on me in a year), easy to transfer/charge, easy to carry around while exercising, radio and overall quality.
Sorry if I'm asking too much, but I wasn't really sure where else to turn to. 😕
I'm an iTouch user myself, but I'm pretty happy with Apple's music system.
A lot of people complain about not being able to load songs onto your iPod from different computers, but it's not true because you can just drag the songs onto the device and no problemo. Gotta have iTunes though (kinda obvious but I thought I'd throw it in anyway XD)
It doesn't wipe your songs either. I've done it many times, plugging it into different computers. It's fine.
I dunno anything about the Sansa Fuze though, so I can't say which one is better, only that I'm happy with Apple's products.
I use my iTouch when walking around and running, so I'm sure the nano is no problem seeing as it's even smaller 🤣

Thanks you for the reply, I'll be sure to keep that in mind~ 🙂

I just got my ipod nano 5th gen and it's pretty nice. I was skeptical at first to see what Apple rolled out [being an casual anti-apple enthusiast] but to my surprise, the build quality of the Nano was crazy good. Intuitive interface of the music player makes everything very accessible. Its metal casing is sturdy for the most part, (ive dropped it only once) doesn't scratch easily. The screen is supposedly made of glass used on airplanes and helicopters, I cant say how accurate this is but if you want to break it you damn near have to hit it with a hammer or equivalent force. Probably not great if you're skateboarding [alot of my buddies break their ipods this way, tsk tsk they never learn]. But if you're going to be just jogging or exercising this will be fine. Radio is easy to use, charging is pretty quick. Plus the iPod is now a cultural status symbol. My only complaint is itunes, I'm biased against it because it has to convert every single music file AND THEN transfer the files to the ipod. It doesn't take too long but it is a drag, especially when i know can just click and drag music files to my PSP and other mp3 players. I'll just say it is bearable. the only redeeming part about it is the auto-sync playlist feature, where all you have to do is click&drag files into a playlist and the next time you plug in your ipod it will sync- and you can keep adding to the same playlist making adding music so freaking easy.
I do not have the Fuze but I've seen it, and correct me if i'm wrong but that thing is pretty small. It'll be harder to hit it so having it break on you will be less likely.
Sorry for being ranty! Anyway Good luck with your decision! Hope you find the right mp3 for you!

I had an iPod, but someone jacked it.
So now I have a Sansa Fuze. 🤣
They're both pretty equal in terms of quality, exept the nano is more sleek physically. However, Sansa has great sound, hands down, and is half the price of a nano! (I got it for $70-ish CAD, tax included~) It's pretty easy to handle, and it's very small, I did dropped it a few times. xD But I'm very clumsy...and it still works! If you keep it in a secure pocket, you'll get used to it and it'll be fine~ It also comes with an impact-protector thing, which is basically a velvet-like pouch to cover it. It's very easy to transfer music files, drag and drop. It also has a very long battery life. The only thing confusing for me is transferring videos, you have to use their media converter, which is suppose to be simple, I just haven't tried it and my primary use is listening to music. Radio has very good reception. Overall, Sansa Fuze is not bad at all in terms of price and quality. An iPod Nano would have more prestige and more features, people would steal... Sansa is more simple and less likely to be taken. Though with the protector on, it looks like an iPod. : D

Thank you so much for all the replies, guys! 😀
@Hellsayer
Thanks, good to know they can last for a long time.
@d3monban3
Yes, I can totally understand your feelings. I'm also quite cautious towards the "Apple-hype." 😛
I wasn't sure about if they included a radio this time or not, but urgh, the thought of having to convert my files first before transfering sounds like a drag. By the way, how is the fm-tagging thing going anyway?
@Rainy Days
Yay! Finally from someone who's used a Sansa! 🤣
Yes, the low price is really tempting~
But I heard you can only make one playlist. Is this true?

I don't make playlists, but it's true. D:
Sansa has this one "To Go" playlist feature, which is basically one quick playlist~

You want "sturdy" yet you're tempted by a cheap imitation?

I would go with the Sansa Fuze because it cheaper than the Ipod Nano and does everything the Ipod Nano can but has many more features like expandable memory, radio, etc. Another recommendation would be if you going to buy anything tech related I recommended buying from http://www.newegg.com/. The place has amazing discounts and sales. You'll save a ton from shopping here.

Aww... That's too bad. ;_; I really like being able to organize my music...
But thanks for letting me know~
@Scyfon
Yes. What can I say?
I'm also a cheapskate. 🤨
@DoctorThermo
Thank you for the suggestion, but I'm afraid that although I agree that website has some amazing deals, it also only ships to the US and Puerto Rico...
Ok lemme break this down for ya i have had a total of 3 different models of sansa players, i have seen the sansa fuze a friend had it, and i can promise you this, they ALL have issues, i don't know why but they just aren't made to last, not one of the 3 i have nor my friends works they last about a year (2 1/2 years was the longest for anyone i had but it still had issues that made it a pain to deal with) then they start to get issues, if your not looking for long term or if you are excessively cautious with it im sure it will last longer but if you drop it or have it in your pocket it and it gets smacked around they started to glitch or break down, they are great for anyone without a large library or who doesn't use it so much especially but it lags if you have too much music and like i said it's fragile, it is easier to put music on especially if your using ehem shady music but its still in my opinion isn't worth the trouble. also the to go playlist is garbage, as far as i know with all my other models of sansa they delete the togo playlist after every time u add something to your library (i'm not exactly sure with the fuse but like i said i had that issue with all other 3 of my models so i'd bet on the trend continuing), sansa is cheap tho so if you wanna save the money and are willing to watch it and make sure it doesn't mess up then i guess its worth it.

I've had two sansa, they both managed to break very, very quickly...
I wouldn't recommend one.
