I have a Sansa View and I'm completely satisfied with it. You actually can make more than one playlist, just only with a media sync (Windows media player works fine).

There are minor issues with the software, though. It freezes every once in a while :/

It's lasted me 4 years with no problem. Mine was very sturdy (I once dragged it on the pavement across an entire block without noticing... in the car 😳 ) Best of all, because it's rather obscure some people still think it's new. That's something that doesn't happen with Ipods . 😛

Apparently the sound quality is a lot better...
