Have you ever read / heard of a series where the mangaka passes away BEFORE completion?

The only one I've heard of is Itazura na Kiss, which is disappointing, that's a really good series. @@; And the last volume did leave you off at a sort of cliffhanger. XD The manga was at 23 volumes when the author passes away in 1999. An anime's coming out in April, and I might check it out. ^_^ Does this mean that if an anime after 35093 years of a dead manga means Hana-Kimi has a chance? T__T; DOES IT?!?! gets shot

The author died in March 1999 but for some reason the magazine that serialized the manga [Margaret] didn't stop till September. O__o;

Any others you've heard of? This crap really interests me ;D

Doraemon´s author died too before the manga was finished. Trinity Blood ´s novel author passed away before finishing it too (the manga is based on the novel). I don´t know of other cases.

I heard he died during the end of the anime, the cause was a heart-attack

several times 😀 , don`t know for sure if a manga exists though ,
i only know of the anime

Actually it was her good concience that killed him.

Is the manga just discontinued when the author passes away? or does someone else take over after a long period of time?

Doraemon already ended.

Doraemon batery is expired. Since his ear was eaten by mouse, he can’t wake anymore. The gate to the future is closed for some reason. Coz of this, nobita study very hard and surpass dekisugi become no 1 in high school test (which mean no 1 in japan).
Nobita: Become professor in robotic
Dekisugi: Presiden of the earth (I think. Dunno if this is true)
Shizuka: Nobita’s wife of course.

O__o; Her name is Kaoru Tada, and she died in a house accident in March of 1999 at the age of 38. (so young) 😢 I love the manga, and if she was still alive, it would be finished by now. 🙁

I read so much mangas, I'm too lazy to watch anime! 😛 😛 😛
