Yeah, that's how I start out all my introductions. Anyway, I've lurked around MU long enough, I figured it was about time to actually register for the site. Maybe now I'll finally work up the courage to join ANN. . . one step at a time.

Manga? I don't read scans much anymore, simply because I don't have the time, and it's embarassing to read manga on the campus computers. And so, by strange circumstances, I have ended up exclusively buying everything and patiently waiting for the releases instead of reading them online. I sometimes wonder if this is good or bad. . .

Hmm, what's left? Well, my tastes in manga run pretty strange, but I think that basically everyone thinks that about themselves.

You know those moments on the first day in class where the teacher forces everyone to do an introduction and you get all nervous? You know your own name, birthday, and favorite color (unless you're that guy from the Holy Grail), but you start getting really nervous anyway. That's what these always feel like.

Fear not, I always read the rules. Or at least the important parts. Okay, maybe I just skimmed them. But still.

I will say that what's in my list right now isn't even a fourth of what I've read. I usually keep track of the manga I'm reading via sticky notes, and I haven't made the complete switch to digital yet. I just copied most of the titles from my MAL accout, so I hope to add a lot more as I wander around here.

Tips on how to use the site:

-Use the "Search Forums" button you see above to find any topics you might wanna talk about so as to avoid making repeat threads

-The List function is very useful in keeping track of manga you're reading, you wanna read or finished reading. You can see other people's lists as well in their profile if they made them public.

-On the User CP you can block out certain genres from the releases page if you don't wanna see stuff such as hentai, yaoi, yuri, etc.

-In addition to blocking out certain genres you can also search for manga with certain genres you want using the Genre Search function.
