Fake hair?

I'm "black/african american" {Whatever you want to call it} and most of my black friends wear fake hair like weaves and extensions fake braids clip ons etc. I think they should just go with their real hair cause buying fake hair and getting it done is really expensive and I think natural hair is better. I think fake hair is a turn off and not worth all that money and time I think it's quite ridiculous your thoughts?

As a male I want something to run my hands through. I've dated no african american girls so I don't have experiance with the subject of fake hair, but if I did encounter it I probably wouldn't like it. I like long, smooth hair which is something african american girls lack, but if it's fake it defeats the point.

But they have real fake hair where it's real peoples hair that's what the usually use cause plastic hair doesn't last that long

I don't really care, if someone feels more comfortable/appealing with fake hair then so be it, some extensions are really well made and you don't feel them either...
Even running through someones hair, if you don't go and try picking fleas, you won't really feel anything unnatural.
I don't care; I don't really have an opinion on something like this. People are free to do whatever.

Well fake hair is... fake. So I can't say I'm a fan of it. I've seen a lot of girls in my country who wear hair extensions and I can't say I like way it looks. I mean the hair is too straight, the color is not very natural looking and the way it "moves" along with their body movement also looks fake.
As for natural straight hair even when it's combed it still looks a bit messy, the strands of hair don't glue to each other (like extensions do) so that's the way hair should look like from my point of view. It looks alive not as if you put a mop on your head.
But each to his own. I'm just a hair freak that's all.

Yeah you can feel them cause they might be clipped or glued on so how can you not feel them?

I think it is sort of stupid as well, like most things people do in the name of beauty. They probably desire the beauty that long hair offers while at the same time wanting to keep a relatively low maintenance short hair style, sort of like having the best of both worlds.
If it makes them feel better about themselves though then so be it.

Well some weaves coughs (possibly illegal) are real hair. Alot of people who are not african/african american usually can't tell a weave apart. Natural hair is nice but would you cut your hair just to expirement on having short hair then regreat it later?
Or just have a short weave, whatever style, whatever length, whichever colour?
Just saying...A well done weave from the point of view of most guys is just "ohh, her hair looks nice".

I believe in letting people do as they wish, as do I myself. Sometimes, of course, what I wish to do is kill them and they do not wish to die. This gives life interest.

My friend she doesn't really wear weaves but she has worn extensions once but I think it was a couple of times when we had school photos or days we had to dress up formally. I've never had to do anything to my hair...I just straighten it but that's about it so..yeah..but I guess I understand why my african american friends go to great lengths to do their hair. They're girls, they want to look nice. So I don't see anything wrong with them using fake hair.

I don't see anything wrong with it I think it's ridiculous to go to use all that money for some hair and it's kind of a turn off to me cause:
- it stinks after a while
- it get's loose and you see the tracks.
- it looks really raggedy after 2-3 months
(Talking about weaves not extensions but some extensions are like that to if they are glued in or sewed in)

People who have this nice straight hair they can just wash and go let it air dry and it looks perfect are just throw a little mousse in it couldn't possibly get it some days you don't feel like spending hours on your hair so extensions are weaves[they're generally the same thing]can make things so much easier on those days i don't wear weaves/extensions anymore but i never wore them for fun now i just go with my natural hair.

The downsides of it 😐
Well I agree it's kind of a turn off...but I think it's different for guys right? Unless they get dreadlocks or something...
