Honestly, I prefer series. Oneshots are good, but don't have nearly the amount of content that could put the story to their full potential.

I like'em both, it always depends on what mood I am in.
But usually I like series but then again...

I hear you say "Why?" Always "Why?" You see things; and you say "Why?" But I dream things that never were; and I say "Why not?"

one shots. i´m currently annoyed with series because they are either not completly scanlated or they are still ongoing. And many series are getting boring after some chapters. Oneshots are short and mostly good & creative

I like series the most, cause they go on forever and you always want more, but the downside is when you have to wait for the next chapter.

Series. I find it hard to give a damn about a character after only 50 pages or so.

Oh man, seriously. This topic is so meaningless. It's like the "which is better the pc or the gamestation" haunting is back.
Don't you think either is fine if a story is a oneshot or a series. Whats important is the story, not the lenght. If you find a good oneshot don't you think that is a pity that you can't read more? And there are many series that made you think, why the hell did they made this, it's so bad and lasted 12 volumes.
The only thing is that a series has the risk, that after time it gets boring, one-sided or the content repeat itself (like the pokemon anime). Oneshots either are good or bad, do you like it or not.
That's it for me now, my english is more brain wracking for me, that i can tolerate in the moment.

I only like oneshot if it was a hentai related oneshot. 😀

I like reading both. I like the character and plot development in a series, but sometimes I just want to read a little bit of manga without having to wait to find out what happens next. I mainly read oneshots when I don't have time for a full series, like during a study break.

I prefer series, because one shot feel too short since if you read good manga you want it too be long, but not too long.

i read many oneshots but i definitely prefer series coz even if the oneshot was a great story it would only make u wish it was long and it would make u think that such a story was wasted in a oneshot rather than putting it in series

It's extremely difficult to choose from.
It's very rare for me to be disapointed after reading a one shot, they always pack a nice punch, sure i want some of them to be longer, but i think that would destroy the concept of the story.
Long series tend to lose themselves in the process and use fillers excessively, and there's also the pain of having to wait eternities for new releases.
That being said overall i would have to choose one shots but only by a narrow margin, because i also love character development and the dramatization which can't properly happen in a one shot.

Depends. I love reading series, but there are some great one-shots too.

Series for the most part- though some oneshots are just better as self-contained stories and don't have to be dragged out to be good :3

Depends. Sometimes I want to read a series, but then again, whenever I see an interesting oneshot, I'll start reading it ^^ Both are good, but series is still better~
