I think it's a reference to one of the shinigami cup golden segments. In one of them Mayuri tells Renji and Hisagi that he can change the appearance of the zanpakto spirit. He gives them a brochure and Renji being a pervet requests Mayuri to give Zabimaru a pair of breasts. However Zabimaru is still male so it still sounds like a man even though it has breasts.
Yeah, I remember that little part in the manga. Their faces were hilarious once they thought of the possibilities.
Though it's kinda weird that Renji wouldn't remember that his zanpakutou spirit had a sex change...
And how the hell is it possible to give a SPIRIT a sex change? That's just too damn goofy. 🤣

Oh no I agree with you, it's an awesome power. It's just that since Kubo made the power, there's a possibility that it'll either be misused or not used enough. The powers of Zomari, Barragan and Aaroniero are perfect examples.

Maybe it's the way Sleepy Fans translated the lines (They're not exactly dependable), but if he says something like that in other scanlations, then I really hope he gets his ass beat. And I know that's how his character is supposed to act, but that doesn't stop him from looking pathetic.
Yeah, I was right, it was just the way Sleepy Fans translated it. Binktopia's version had it to where it was still like him, but not as annoying.
