The best news I have heard in a long time. Hopefully dead pool, carnage will be included this time. Not sure if heroman’s part of marvel but I would love to see him fight it out with megaman and a couple of sentinels.

Hopefully they make the game more balanced than the second one. I'm tired of fighting against the same six characters with my B-rankers. Hey maybe they can add Zero instead of Roll. for that matter why didn't they do that in the second installment.

First of all, Punisher sucks ass.
Second, Venom, who is technically Carnage's father, has already been in the previous 2 games, so it's more likely he'll be in this one as well.
Now I'm not saying Carnage is not a cool character, it's just that the role has been most likely already filled :\
Oh, and is it me or Ryu just doesn't look great in 3D? I miss his old medium long hair....

Anyway, Punisher would be a excellent addition. Some other Marvel characters that I think would be good to see in the game are:
Spider-Woman
The Thing
Conan the Barbarian
Black Widow
Ghost Rider
Thor (This is the one I'm personally hoping will happen)
Silver Surfer
Captain Marvel (The original one, Mar-Vell)
Green Goblin (And have Hobgoblin as a hidden character when you choose a different costume for Green Goblin)
Daredevil
Elektra
Black Panther
The Abomination
Iron Fist
Jean Grey (And have her Phoenix form as a special transformation move)
She-Hulk
Squirrel Girl (Have her as a joke character, like Norimaro and Servbot were)
Moon Knight
Luke Cage
Stephen Colbert (Not lying, he really is a character in the Marvel Universe)
There's WAY more characters that would be good to play as, but I just hope that we're able to play as some of the choices on my list, or at least some other characters that would be awesome to play as that I missed.

What's with the Punisher love?
If you've read the comics, you'd know that he's an annoying character. A lot of the superheroes don't even like him :\
Anyways, for the Capcom side, I just hope that they'll put in Ibuki and still keep the other females as well. Other suggestions would be characters from the Rival Schools series =D

No, I'm not expecting an anti-hero to not have haters, I was just curious as to exactly why you didn't like him.
I mean, I can understand you not liking the dark/emo tone of The Punisher (Though it's not really him being emo, but more like being serious and straightforward. He seems to only agonize or get depressed about things when it's something that him reminds of his family, and those moments rarely come up).
With the whole "kill first, ask questions later" shtick, you have to remember that he's going up against the scum of the Marvel Universe. He kills people that sell drugs, illegal firearms, people (There was an arc in the MAX comic where he had to stop sex slave traders) people who murder and torture innocent people just to do it, and loads of other things that are immoral and wrong. And when he's not doing that, he's stopping supervillains for doing those same things.
And when he appears in another series and screws things up, it's because the writers in those other series make him do stupid things on purpose just to prolong the arc. Cause if they wrote him like how he's written in his own series, the arc would be over in an issue or two, and there would be a lot more bodies of criminals.
