i tried one of those electic racket things. i thought i broke it so i touched the metal. they sure are resilient. it hurt too. i dont really need one though cause bugs dont like me. i must taste blah to them. im glad.

maybe you should change your diet to more fruits and veggies and less red meat. that usually helps.

Haha, I have the exact same problem. I was staying an a room with four other people. None of them got a single bite and I had ten when I woke up the next morning. The next night I tried sleeping with the blanket pulled over my head and held it down with my hand all night... in morning I had bites all along the sides of my hands where I'd been holding the blanket and still no one else got bitten. They can't get enough of me. Once I went to Taiwan and got bitten all over my neck (it looked like a big red necklace) and they even resorted to biting my fingers, toes, face and I even got one on my ear! My ear! Where hardly any freaking blood goes!

The times I talked about were when I was younger, so I'm not sure if I'm no longer as young and juicy as I used to be or if I just don't go outside as much/stay in places with lots of mosquitoes... but anyway, I suggest you use heavy duty bug spray, like the stuff that's supposed to last eight hours and is labeled as "deep woods" even if you're not going in the woods at all. Also, rather than getting the spray, I like to use the wipes, that way you know you've covered everything and you're not as likely to inhale it, though it's probably more expensive in the long run. This is my favorite brand.

I would really recommend a good bug spray... I don't know what you're using now, but I went to Kenya last year and used a... I think it was 30% DEET spray and I barely got bitten at all. This is applying maybe only once lightly in the morning and again at night. As long as you take care not to inhale it (you don't need that much - only spray where your skin is exposed) you should be fine. Other than that, cover up, try and keep windows closed if you're indoors (you can also get plug in repellents for your home) and keep the bite creams handy... I'm guessing wherever you are the problem of contracting diseases is not a problem so as long as you don't itch excessively it shouldn't be a problem even if you do get bitten, although probably a bit annoying. Just be glad you don't live somewhere where malaria and other mosquito-borne diseases are a problem.

Also, someone mentioned earlier that black is not a good summer colour because it absorbs heat. True, but the overall effect is pretty much equal to white because being good at absorbing heat also means it's good at giving it off. That's why people who live in hot desert countries can walk around in black robes/burqas etc. and not die of heat stroke or whatever. It's not really a significant effect. Besides, you shouldn't really be standing around in direct sunlight too much anyway, which is the only time the "absorbing heat" thing matters.

Mosquitoes sense carbon dioxide in the air and chase the source.
You breathe too much. You're probably too fat/not fit if you sweat
and breathe heavily.

Funny I have this problem too, my mom tells me not to wear perfume, I dont, I wear bug spray, it's like bugs are attracted to me, when I eat lunch outside with my friends I'm the one who gets bit by the spider, the mosqito, I have strong hatred towards them. They're the reason I stay inside 24/7. I just take practical precautions. Only go outside when I have to, I use OFF, it works most of the time.

but seriously.. maybe you should try wearing long sleeves or try not going into places where there are tons of them.. btw.. this is coming from someone who had a near death experience because of dengue just months ago.. 😀

but most bugs can bite through cloth anyways (except if it's really thick, but then you'll faint from heat before getting bitten if it's in the summer..).

lol. thanks. funny though that i can be in a group of ppl who are way more out of shape than me but i'm still the one that gets eaten. and i'm sure that that's tru of other ppl here who get bitten a lot.
as for staying inside, i can't. i love the outdoors way too much.
i'm grateful for everyone who offered suggestions, even if i would never carry around an electric bug racket. 😀 i don't eat much red meat but i love chicken. ^^ and i eat a moderate amount of veggies but i'll try to increase that.
thanks especially to powie_yowie for the vitamin. I wasn't sure which one would work.
please keep the suggestions (or jokes) rolling 😁

lmao. i didn't know this was a valid option. i'll keep it in mind but i've never met anyone more loved by insects than me.
out of pure curiousity, what blood type are the people who keep getting eaten? and what blood type are the people who never get bitten?

I'm more likely to get bitten when I cover up. So I just dress lightly and slather on sunscreen. Maybe the sunscreen repels them? Or I'm simply not snackworthy. lol.

I have no idea what my blood type is. I doubt it makes a difference.
