I've done a couple of these topics on other titles and wanted to ask it for these titles as well. If i watch the anime of these 2 series? would i still need to read the manga from the start to appreciate it more? or can i just skip the manga to the part where the anime left off? Would i miss anything if i don't reread the manga, both in content, art, storyline, etc. tnx guys.

well, first you probably already know that TRC and xxxHolic are closely related, as such in the manga, the charcters can appear in either manga

but for the anime however for xxxholic they leave out any mention of TRC
donbt know the situation with TRC since i havent watched it yet

Yes. I've read and watched a decent amount of xxxholic and am up to date on TRC and yeah, the manga's are sufficiently different that you'll lose something if you don't read them. TRC's filler changes the character's relationships a bit, and drops/adds/changes enough that a straight telling is helpful for trying to keep all the confusing bits straight (though the anime helps clarify somethings.) From what I've seen of 1st season xxxHolic, it's a little too episodic/disjointed to get a real feel for the characters and the relationships they build with each other, and loses any semblance of an overarching plot.

TRC (anime) leaves in some xxxHolic references.
