Im typically impolite only towards those I have deemed unworthy of my politeness, which pretty much falls on the few people that I hate and my little brother. Im about as polite (if not a bit more so) as anyone should be expected to be towards other people though. I also tend not to care about defacing the image of others because I honestly couldnt care less, so all rumors pretty much stop at me, which I think is a relatively polite service the the person cited in the rumor.

The second one. Useless being rude when I hate confrontation a lot. I don't talk alot at all so when I do talk, it's usually polite talk. I don't know a lot of people to have the luxury to be rude to some people anyway. If I dislike someone, I just don't talk to them. Can't be rude if I don't talk to them or associate with them.

I'm too lazy to be rude to people. Being rude takes energy xD I say thank you alot too. More than before since it's a habit I get from my job last year.

If I don't know the person(and this person is older then me), then you shan't believe my level of polite-ness.

If I know you, or if you're younger then me, you'll be lucky if you get a polite 'Please' or a smile.

So, I picked the second one, since there are quite a lot of people older then me in the world.

I'm polite to just about everyone, partly because I work for two churches and there are a lot of people who recognize me even though I may not recognize them!

I try not to be rude, just as a matter of principle - why add more unpleasantness to the world when there's so much already around?? - but I can be very assertive and polite at the same time. 😃

I normally act polite to strangers and vague acquaintances With friends and family I act much more relaxed. In general the more I get to know a person the less formal and polite I act.

The few exceptions is when someone truly pisses me off, I won't hesitate to yell them down in that situation, no matter who they are. Good thing it's hard to make me really angry. 😀

That was a hypothetical/rhetorical instance of a random, highly improbable, real life meeting. And since in this hypothetical/rhetorical instance of a random, highly improbable, real life meeting I wouldn't know that you are into S&M (hypothetically speaking) I would be polite to you.

it's always safe to be polite to everyone.. ^_^

That all depends on what they have and I want. If i am polite I want to gain something from it.

mostly to stranger, im not that polite to my close friends and family

I'm an a-hole to only a handful of people I HATEHATEHATEHATE, and I tend to be casual with people I'm very comfortable with or with annoying strangers.
For the rest of the time though I'm really nice, if that could be considered polite...

Sure, I'm polite. It's very seldom I have something to gain by not being polite.
