Online Personas

I'm a little bit bolder when it comes to talking to people online, but if I were to meet one of you from here in real life, I'd probably be the same. Now, perhaps I'd seem a little different because you can actually hear my tone, but I don't act differently.
I go away and suddenly the spammers are the mods. Okay, I can adjust to that, but... Gorath?! And what's up with Mam's not being the top poster?

I actually "talk" and more open when I am online. Although I talk to my friends the same way I do online. I don't really talk much outside of my group of friends in real life. Also I have met someone after talking to them online and I was actually still pretty silent the first two times I hung out with them. They were people I met on myspace who actually go to the same school as me. So I still have to get used to talking to someone in real life after meeting online. But it moves a lot faster than just meeting me first in person. I am just now becoming more talkative to people that I met last year.

In terms of anonimosity (remaining anonymous), I tend to act more like a jackass/flamer for the lulz. This of course doesn't apply to when i'm chatting with people i already know online. Also in real life, I'm a rather considerate, pleasant person. So anonymous ftw?

I'm way more polite online because ppl can't read your voice and intentions as clearly, and also its so hard to gauge your audience online. Obviously I talk differently to different people, and in reality its pretty damn simple most of the time to tell what a certain person is gonna think is funny.

well, it's hard for me to quantify normal, i have several RL persona's that i assume at various times and depending on mood and situation I switch between them.
familiar places: confident, goofy, occasionally homicidal, quite possibly mentally disabled
new situation: shy, overly cautious, i use 'vocabulary words' and explain things overly much
with people i believe i connect with: flippant, picayune, illogical with logic
sleepover confession mode: mostly truthful, serious, polite to an extent.
at forums with my username (like this one) I use the bottom three. With friends, a random username or anonymous I go with the top or the third one down.
any and all punctuation or ' XD ' is meant to show my expression or cadence were I too speak it (or type it more often then not). So ' XD ' would either mean i'm pretending to be insanely happy about something or actually am insanely happy. IRL my smile would be more like a ' : D ' but that doesn't convey the correct emotion i feel.
so in conclusion were i to talk to you guys elsewhere I may or may not talk the same way--it depends on how you strike me there as opposed to here. 😉
Sorry for being incoherent
:'(
I think I act the same...... 😐

I think I'm pretty much the same here and IRL; a bit more reserved IRL and my grammar is generally more correct here (since I have time to review my posts & fix them).

Same in RL though a little more reserved when talking to someone new

I believe I act the same, the only difference is that I am more open online. So I guess I am a bit more reserved.

I'm much less rude online than in real life. I remember back in the day acting as another gender. Fun times, really.
Also, it's easier to be lighthearted online than in real life.
well, i´m pretty much the same, maybe i act a little more freely since i do control myself better in real life when talking about something (with people i don´t know well)

You see, if I acted the way I am in real life, I would get grounded by my family and be sent to therapy for being seriously disturbed. Hehehehehe, my family doesn't even know how violent I am. All they see is my mask I put up. Which is partly me, but not completely me.
So, I am really more ME on the internet, more then I can ever be in real life.
