Would you be/make friends with your parents? (If they weren't your parents).
Judging by personality. Or looks. 🙄 🤣
Probably your age, since I guess people usually make friends with the same age group.
Care to share why? ^^
Hrodulf and Bjornolfr, you will not be forgotten.

I probably would be friends with both, but I don't think they would be my "best friends" so to speak...like I wouldn't choose to hang out with them because we don't have the same interests. They would just be people I would talk to at school and share homework with.

I'd most likely get along well with my father. We have many similar personality traits. I guess my mom would be one of those pretty girls, but I wouldn't hang around with her. Her personality works as a mother, but as a friend... 🤢 So, I picked the 3rd option in the poll.

theres a saying ... "people living in the modern standards would never understand those of the newly coming generation"... basically people back than would never understand the way we think, and people now ( us ) would definetely not understand those people in the future ( our kids, or other people's kids) or whoever in maybe 30 years from now...
i mean not like you'll see a guy over 40 years of age ( most of them ), appreciate the new album release of linkin park or somewhat music u listen to or the new release of halo....
but i know what i would be like towards my parents if they werent my parents hypothetically, and was they were them like they would be in my age....
people i would refer to as geeks!!!!!!!!!!!.... lmao

Exceedingly unlikely. I would probably just find my mom irritating, and although I do have some things in common with my father, he's too unreliable to be the type of person I usually hang around with.

I am more like a friend than a daughter to my mother now, so if we were the same age, not much would change. My father probably would have been one of my best friends, since we had a lot in common.

That is not true.
In many cases there are indeed differences in the way of life, because everything changed so much over the last century, and all the events.
If you compare by music... I, for example don't like modern music much, but I do like music from thr 30s and classical music and so on.
You can always find something in common with the times that have passed.
I also say that most people in this age (time) are tastless buffons, but that's just my opinion. 🙄
You should think more about personality, and less about the gainalbe tastes.

Meh... they both have their good traits I suppose. I would probably be friends with my mother because she's sarcastic and mean like me. But at the same time, I really can't stand be around her for more than about an hour.
And my dad has great taste in music, but thats about it. He's manipulative, bi-polar and abusive. I can't stand people like that. He'll say nice words to you and buy you gifts, but only to get something. And then you are thrown away like he never needed you.
So I chose neither. The people I am friends with a usually completely different from me, and I am in several ways too similar to my parents.

You father sounds exactly like my mother. O.o

I voted "yes, with both" because I don't actively dislike either of them, but actually...it's really hard to say.
My mom & I share quite a few interests (not manga, though 😛 ) and I consider us good friends now, but we have enough interests/habits that are different from each other than I don't know whether we'd actually get to know each other much if we didn't have the family connection. There are also things about my appearance that would probably make my mom hesitate to get to know me better, if she didn't already know me. 🤨
REALLY hard to say with my dad, since I've had very little contact with him over the past ~10-20 years, and not all that much contact from the beginning so I don't know him that well now. As a fairly casual friend, I think it would be fine, but I don't know that we'd ever become close friends. 😐

Only with mother, I could be friend of my father for some time but then I would stop being his friend in the end

Probably both, my mum is wacked and has a mind of a 14yr old girl...it's hard not to like her...and my dad, I'd be friends with him so he can fix my things 🤣

same here 😀
I love both of my parents, and we share a lot of the same traits and hobbies (except reading manga). So yeah, I'd probably be great friends with both my parents

Friends? Nah.
Though chats with my mom are amusing half the time if you subtract the yelling. My dad doesn't even talk except those grumbling and muttering sounds that emit from his mouth once every few hours.
