Can anyone tell me what this series is about?

I'm really perplexed as to why Del Rey licensed this since it's only 2 volumes long and I don't think it's THAT popular.

I am interested in the series though because it's by Mika Kawamura, the author of one of my favorite series Daa! Daa! Daa!. So I'm hoping that this will lead to Del Rey eventually licensing that series. 🙂
