So many fluffy scenes XD XD

I've finally re-read this whole series after 10 years since I saw it the first time.
While reading, I love all the fluffy scenes between Kanata and Miyu, sometimes a family fluff story involving Ruu (and Wannya), and just another school life with their school friends.

Too bad the ending is weak....... I read all the mangaka's other series, and I know some things:
She has the tendecy to start the female protagonist with the capital "M", and the male with "K". And she often has the setting of a temple and a Buddhist monk. LOL.
The other thing is..... yup, how weak the endings for each manga are, like stated before.

Anyway, plot-wise, I remember reading another shoujo series where an elementary-grade girl has to take care of a baby, which turned out to be her future daughter. I don't know which is the better plot, but probably because I read Shin Daa! Daa! Daa! even before I completed Daa! Daa! Daa!, I am pretty much prepared to know that Ruu has his own real parents--which are obviously not Miyu and Kanata.
Would people want the plot where they are his parents, or the original one?

Nevertheless, this is one of my childhood manga, and that's why I really have special connection with this. I expect both of them to confess their love earlier, but it really is in the LAST chapter. I'm quite dissatisfied with that fact only, but then again, I read Shin Daa! Daa! Daa! and I'm happy to know of their marriage~

I love this manga! It's so cute! The "weird" factor just makes it better. The art is cute and Kanata and Miyu are adorable with their relationship growth. They are romantically shoved together when Ruu insists they're his parents, but they warm up to their roles for his sake rather quickly. Then the cuteness begins <3 I really enjoyed it. smile

I even downloaded the anime form 1-78 ;] hehe~<3 It's addicting and I've been in love with it for 3 years x] When I finished reading this manga my life was so gloomy none Lucky there's fanfiction biggrin Recommended! Although Kanata's character was TOO perfect. I don't know why but I just freaking love it~<3

This author keeps disappointing me.

This author has some of the best shoujos I have ever read. But, endings are imho her weak point. I think the ending was made because of her plan to do Shin Daa Daa Daa. When I read her works (though she doesn't have very many) the final volumes just don't flow. Yes the ending was happy, but it was also abrupt. Though it is slightly hinted throughout the series, the romance was never built up enough.

Spoiler (highlight to view)
I would have liked the ending a lot better if Ruu's real parents turned out to be Kanata and Miyu. That's what I thought at the beginning. And, somehow Miyu was told (or figured out) that was the case. That was the ending I was hoping for, but didn't get. And it could have ended with Ruu being born.

This is good for a light read, and you can stop anywhere, because it is somewhat episodic.

This author has been improving in her art style and I hope that her endings will be improved in her further works.

Short & Sweet

One thing I really like about this manga is that they don't milk the alien story to the extreme and stretch it through volumes and volumes of repetitive stories. While Ruu is the cutest kid ever, Miyu and Kanata themselves are an adorable pair of 'mama and papa'. It's just so cutesy, how can one not like it? One of those light hearted reads when you want a break from reality (or the other hardcore manga biggrin).
A bit too flowery and sickeningly sweet for me, but I like it all the same!

It's most certainly the best manga out there!! It's funny, cute, goody-goody (there's zero evil in there!!) and the plot is so original! There's never a boring repeat of any plot element, every chapter is different! And the art is awesome! I appreciate manga where all the characters do not have the same face with different hair styles... Overall a heartwarming manga, which will always be my favorite!!

awesomely awesome stuff. a frivolous and silly premise laid a foundation for such a heartwarming, funny and fun story. a great read. i've read plenty of manga, this one is one of the best out there. well worth a look- and then another.

Kinda light-hearted and funny but...

Kinda light-hearted and funny but the plot gets weaker as the story proceeds. From where I left off on my 2nd read(somewhere around vol 2 to 3.), some of the jokes started to feel a little stale though the creative inventions and ideas managed to keep the series afloat. Anyways, it's a good read provided you don't think too much about it: it's nothing deep and compelling but is extremely light-hearted and promises oodles of flowery fun. I might actually finish this someday but for now, it's a bit too flowery for me.
