im petrified of aging and dying.
I want to be able to live as long as possible so i can see what we as a race can accomplish, it's like a rpg game you play all your life and never get to see the end of.... now that i think about it thats all the mmo's.. but im serious though.

Nope, not really; some things get better as one gets older.
Sure there are things that I'm not looking forward to, but I'm not afraid of any of it. Just like anything else, I'll have to take it in stride.

Not really.
What I am afraid of is ending up sick and falling apart at 80 or something...
Hrodulf and Bjornolfr, you will not be forgotten.

If I had a fantasy self, it'd be a tentacle monster.
Nah, it's more some other stuff related to that, not exactly aging directly. I think there is no sense in fearing that which you can't avoid, but well, fear isn't exactly sensical 🤣

No, I'm not. Most people in my family don't even skip a beat once they get old. So hopefully, I'll be like them 🙂

I'm surprised...so many of you are not afraid of aging. 😲
I just don't want to become a mummy...you know. Other than that I am okay with it, too. 😛
Anyone of you read "Brave new world". I want to live in that world where nobody ages...

I'm not terrified of aging but I
am rather terrified at what comes
with it....I'm not a fan of just withering
away.
Hopefully I'll be able to retire by the time I'm 45, so I can sit around talking about the good old days for the rest of my deteriorating life.
Simply put, there is no use in being scared of the inevitable. But I'm REALLY not looking forward to it. 🤢

no, aging is just moving forward in life, you get a lot of new experiences with it
Yes, though it's not really the fear of growing old, it's the fear of dying. and the fear of the time when i lose the ability to take care of myself and can no longer rely upon myself to get the job done.
I saw my grandmother lose her mind to Alzheimer’s and my grandfather have his body waste away with his mind still intact. i can't tell you which is worse.
And in Brave New World didn't they not age because they all died young? eh.. i forget.
Nope.
I'm not afraid of getting old or death. It's inevitable so I feel no need in wasting my time and life worrying about it.

When I was 16 I was afraid of death and aging, three years later I knew that this is the fate of every living human being and its inescapeable. Though I will admit I'm still a little afraid of this fate, but as we get older we will evenutally accept it. So I say "Live life your way, have no regret, and love every moment of it."
Lobsters don't age.
They have indefinite lifespan.
But even immortals can end up as someone's dinner.
If someone can solve these problems they would be able to have an indefinite lifespan:
