Are you afraid to age?

I'm not so worried about my body going - I'm not into sports or mountain climbing or anything like that. My hobbies are equally easy for a teenager and an 80-year-old. But I don't to become senile. I'd rather die first.

Hmm...Rather than aging, I'm more worried about what comes with it. AKA The responsibilities. And I'm worried about what life will be like in my 40s xD But other than that there isn't really the fear. I think it would be fun to retire one day and just relax without worries. Even thought that will probably never happen xD

Not really afraid of aging or even dying of old age, the one thing I might say is that I might regret dying because one of my dreams is to see how the world will turn out in the 21st century and heck even the 22nd century. I really wanna see new technologies like flying cars and space hotels and colonies on the moon, that kind of stuff b4 I die..

Eh, not really. I'm mainly afraid of getting Alzheimers Disease and other health problems that come with it. Which is what my grandma is suffering from right now.

No. I'll deal with it when I get there, and in the meantime there are a lot of other things to think about.
I do hope that any "interesting times" come while I'm still young enough to handle it. If there's fighting in the streets, I want to be agile enough to dodge.

I'm not afraid of aging as such - I'll be 40 in a few more years & I'm fine with my emerging wrinkles & increasing number of white hairs - but some of the health problems that go along with getting old scare me.
My uncle (not blood-related) has just gone into an Alzheimer's nursing home at age 65. He's physically in good shape, but can't hold a conversation, forgets to eat the food in front of him, and can't remember his wife anymore - they were together 47 years! He's really young to have it so bad, but you just never know how much time you have left.
I've known other people who develop multiple serious health conditions as they age, leading to the necessity of expensive medications, and then they don't have money for anything other than necessities. Being unable to do the basic stuff to take care of yourself (clean house, cook, etc.) would also suck...
I'm just hoping I'll be like my Grandma, almost 90 and still mentally & physically in very good shape. 😃

Lol... I'll take being 21 forever!! But in all seriousness I can't handle the idea of seeing those you love die one by one. My grandparents are really old, and I don't know how I'll handle it when the time comes. 😢

I keep my body very fit, so I do hate the idea of eventually losing my physical abilities.
I wouldn't say I'm afraid of aging... just not looking forward to it.

It'd be a pity if I can't chase after the bus anymore.

So long as I die before I lose my mental capacities, no.
Aging is a good thing to an extent, im quite young at the moment and might see thing immaturely but I think that as you age and lose phisical fitness you gain a keener mind through experience.

Not really. It's life. You can buy the best anti-aging products, have surgery and lifting done, it won't change the fact that your bones aren't as solid as they used to be.
Now, if i can live up to 100yrs old and still being in shape (as in not bedridden) and have my mind, that'd be a bless! 😀
