It's a Shounen Ai by genre, so there shouldn't be any sex by definition, only hints on feelings, if that's what you're asking about. But I've read only the first chapter and dropped it, so can't really answer you.
And this should be in the Kyo Kara Maoh section 🙂

i watched a few episodes of the anime, and was shocked to discover it was a shounen-ai 🤢

Not really, I guess... I mean, it's pretty shounen but makes fun of shounen-ai a lot. The main character is also engaged to another guy, but there isn't enough emphasize IMO. Still, the story, art and characterization is VERY GOOD overall. I only fnished the anime, but manga I'm just starting.

It's shonen-ai which like some of these people said, is just hints of feelings. Nothing more than a little cuddle or cute scenes so no sex or anything hardcore. It implies boy love but none is really shown. Even if there isn't, Kyou Kara Maouh is a great show. 😀

There is unfortunately, only hints and small feelings of boy love. (and i say unfortunately, because I want more)
Wolfram likes Yuri, but Yuri's all like..."Noo i like girls! get away from me!" but Wolfram doesn't leave him alone lol. If you're a guy, then i think i'd be interesting for you to see the relationship, because Yuri turn him down and stuff and seriously only likes girls, then Wolfram gets annoyed and jealous. Its funny to see what Yuri does in these situations (he runs away!!) but anyways, ----the main story is not about that----, its about fixing the government and finding the solution to world peace through unity. Its really good. (I like politics too, and theres fantasy and many dif things incorporated in it too) watch the anime, hardly any of the manga is out anyways so.

😛

The only shounen ai there is is the fact that everybody seems to want the king, Yuuri. Emphase on seems. There's no real proof, and it's all in good fun (read : you can take it as the author making fun of shounen ai caricatures if you want to). Also, Yuuri isn't interested in anyone, and rejects all strange attentions. It's more like a plot device to repetitively embarass the main protagonist, Yuuri, and create humor in this way.

Another fact : the author, Matsumoto Temari, also does other works which are more openly shounen ai. Therefore, many people read / watch KKM with this in mind and find the shounen ai hints very strong indeed.

In short : the only shounen ai there is is for humour purposes. Therefore, if you are unconfortable with it, you can very easily overlook it. If you are a die hard shounen ai fan, then you'll also see what you want to see.

My opinion on this ? Don't let such labels like 'shounen ai' stop you from enjoying this manga / anime, it's quite good and extremely funny.

I didn't watch the anime yet so I don't know if it is as much hinted as the manga (but I guess it is the same as the manga).
But the manga is definitely a shonen-ai. Alone the engagement and the feelings that Wolfram has for Yuuri put this manga/anime in the shonen-ai genre.

But it is definitely not a yaoi.

Ok this manga needs to have a shounen AI subplot tag at LEAST. The main char is in a homosexual marriage... also while this was mainly for comedy at the start they are having random emotional moments. Please add the tag/genre
