I only read series that are 1 volume or longer. It feels like I'm wasting my time when I read something that doesn't touch my feeling at all, which they rarely do when they're that short.
I won't bother to keep my manga list at two places at once, so... http://myanimelist.net/profile/Hogat

I read anything that catches my interest, regardless of length.
I've been reading a lot of one-shots lately because I don't have much time to read so it's nice to get the whole story in on sitting. Overall I do prefer longer stories, though.

Yes. Sometimes it's good to read something short, especially if you follow a lot of long series that don't come out often. In comparison, Oneshots are refreshing.
Get in, get out, get on with your life
But it sucks when I read a oneshot that I felt should be longer -_-

You must have read the wrong ones. There are lots of one shots that are both short and emotionally impactful. In some ways I think it's easier for them to be so - there's no room for them to meander around and lose intensity. Everything in them needs to be focused around one point, so that one point comes across strongly (when it's well done, of course).

Yup! Agreed... it's nice to know that a story I start will end soon (like in the next few pages).

Very eloquently worded. I also like happy slice-of-life ones... they serve as mini-pick-me-uppers

Yep. I occasionally read them, but not as much as full series.

YES. Though it doesn't really give a lasting impression unlike the volume series.
