I looked up series descriptions via google.com. After a while I noticed that the site that came up most of the time was mangaupdates.com and a few otheres, but I liked M-U more. So eventually I switched from searching via google to searching via 'M-U manga search'.
So it was via a searchstite (google) for me!

I don't remember how I ended up here but I do know that I used to use Manganews until I found out they had a "no licensed titles" kinda policy. Not that I normally read licensed titles but there were some titles I just couldn't give up and start paying for a sh***y Viz or Tokyopop version.

I voted "Google (and other search engines)" though I don't really remember exactly. I use Yahoo, and I was probably searching for direct download sites. I think I found Manga Jouhou/Manga News first, but it wasn't quite user-friendly, in my opinion (at least to someone who hardly knew what scanlations were, it was kind of confusing - yes, I'm not too internet/computer savvy right now!). At any rate I was happy to know that there were databases for manga out there (other than ANN, which also isn't too helpful sometimes), so I was really pleased when I stumbled across MU. And this site seems to load pretty fast, at least for my stupid dial-up connection.

Google! I was looking up something one day and came across a link in Google for a list of series beginning with K. I was like 'WTF?! This isn't what I want!!!' 🤣 I hit the backspace button and didn't see this site for months (maybe even a year) and when I came across it again, I realized how useful it was, thus I joined and began to participate in the forums 🙂
