The funny thing is, with the naming trends with Gwenyth Paltrow naming her first daughter Apple, and Jamie Oliver naming his girls Poppy Honey and Daisy Boo (source), these kids with Japanese names might not seem so weird. But then again, if the kid has no relation to Japan, I find that a bit odd. Maybe no odder than the kid that got named Gouda.

I think "Apple" and "Gouda" have plenty of joke potential too. 😉 'An Apple away keeps the doctor away.' 'It's not a Gouda (good thing) when Gouda's around.' (Okay, the second one probably wasn't ask good. ^^U)
