Yes, people do change. After one year in college, one of my best friends went from being a hilarious, artistic, serenading goof into a partying, drinking, muscle-pumping pothead. ]: It was very depressing to meet him this summer, and for the whole three months we only met or spoke about five times or so. That was the most extreme case. Everyone has changed somewhat since last year, but almost all of them have still retained that spark that made me want to befriend them in the first place.

I think people change a whole lot, my mom was a nice artistic loving happy responsible caring hardworking and active parent.
Now she is a deadbeat drinking neglecting uncaring confused irresponsible parent. 😃

For the better? Rarely if ever if they are adults. They are like hardened clay at a certain point. If young? In good and bad ways lots of change can happen. Personally though I feel it's a little naive and foolish to expect a terrible adult to change for the better. Especially if they are a lot older.

My opinion is that people change and digress. During ones life they have new experiences and change their outlooks and opinions but I also believe that their are periods of no change were the person remains in a constant state,those periods could be long or short but do happen.

Of course people change, as they grow up they learn about many things in the world and change accordingly to fit the things that they support/agree with. But the real question is: Is it for better or worse?

Depends on the person. Some people become set in their ways and live life on autopilot. Even if you try to break them from their comfort zone, they'll resist it with everything they have. In some cases, people will rather die than accept change (suicide over girlfriend leaving them or something.)

i personally haven't changed at all sense i was 12, and learned to think for myself. if you were a prick and aren't anymore it doesn't mean you changed, it just means to stopped being a outward prick. personally, i just do what ever makes my life easier. if that means being nice to people i want to call the dumbest fucking person i ever met, than that meas i don't call them that, but i still think it.

the best way that i can explain it so many people can understand would be i decent person getting married. just because they have a ring now doesn't mean that aren't attracted to other people, it just means that they don't presue it anymore.

its the same thing with people. once they grow the fuck up, they don't change.

I don't get why some ppl are getting worked up over this. Sure people change, at the very least, physically. People get influenced by stuff around them, media, TV, internet, games, manga(yeah manga, definitely. 😃 ) and by other people. Being different than what one once was, whether on the surface or deep down is called changing. You could say that superficial change isn't "change" but that's pretty much saying "Just coz someone is different now it doesn't mean he's changed"

So yeah, many levels of change, humans have learnt to adapt through changing behaviour depending on the environment, seeing as our environment is not constant, neither is our behaviour.

They won't change completely.. But they'll improve. And I like improvements. :3

I think that people change all the time, but there usually is a part of them that remains unchanged, if you know what I mean 🙂 We are influenced by other people, but we stay mostly... ourselves. Sometimes people change completely, usually because of some sudden experience - but it's very rare.
