Do you think people change?

neither the same nor another
people are neither deed, thought, nor personality perceived.
The monkey is reaching for the moon in the water.
Until death overtakes him, he’ll never give up.
If he’d let go the branch and disappear in the deep pool,
The whole world would shine with dazzling pureness.
Well, some things change, some remain the same. Some changes are reversible, some aren't.

yup.. Change, it happens.
but sometimes its not that visible. so you wont really see it that much. like some dramatic character development in a shoujo manga, real life is much slower.. lolzz.. 😀
oh please do click this!
The sweeter the apple, the higher the branch. The quieter the fart, the nastier the smell.
GUESS WHO??
yes, example-I was a super quiet docile kind child who would do anything when told. Now I'm not shy, I'm a bit cold and indifferent but still kind. I used to have a severe case of stage fright as well now I don't have that anymore. People do change even if it is a little bit. Everything practically impacts us to what we are today

I hear you say "Why?" Always "Why?" You see things; and you say "Why?" But I dream things that never were; and I say "Why not?"

Yes, because staying just one way is boring. It doesn't even have to be something big, even small changes is still a change.

ignorance is bliss, knowledge is power, it all comes down to which you want more.

yes.
example number one - riannah used to be a shy small town girl. have you ever seen her NOW? 😲
example number two - i used to be a nice child who liked to beat up fellow kindergarteners. now im a rude , sarcastic , always smiling , happy go lucky , secretly depressed girl. im no longer a nice child. 😀
example number three - my friend used to be akward , quiet , and had buck teeth. now she has fine teeth , is more outward , nicer , and genrally happier. 😃

You contradicted yourself nicely there.
And yes, people do change, sometimes not for the better.

i think a person is the sum of all that he/she was.
including the mask he/she used to out o cover his/her true feeling, lies, truth, every bad and good experiences ... everything that went trough his/her lives, whether that person realize it or not.
for me: do a person change: yes. do a person stay the same: yes. do you see where this is going? it just a matter of perspective... from what pov do you value a person.

No people don't change. People change minor things about themselves to suit the situation or environment they are in so that they can have the best advantage for themselves at that precise time, but that does not mean that person changed they are still the same and will to continue to be the same person they are when they woke up as when they went to sleep. Also, a lot of the example I have seen are about when people change were when they were children and changed when they were basically adults, or close to it and yeah you are going to change in these years, you learn to talk, walk, write, hormones change and you notice gender, of course you are going to change but after most of this is done and you become more or less "mature" you don't change anymore. Unless you get a brain injury or develop a mental illness, which I don't see as really changing just someone losing parts of who there were before. Anyway there is mah rant, later.
" 9 years and 163 days later, 2% of my body cells are still in love with her"
Been a while since I posted, so I guess I might just post something
meaningful. Mayhaps even reaching farther than the question itself,
but this is no algorithm.
Those who claim people do not change, have still a long way to go.
Were I you, I would be impatient.
Change happens. It must only be accepted.
It is not resigning, it is stopping the denial.
People change as they age.
Time and events change people.
And they must. People have to change.
For each other and for themselves.
Personalities develop, appereances change, mirages wilt.
As new things enter our lives, the old things give some space,
sometimes disappearing completely with us never realising
or us seeing them fade away. We only have roughly 30000 days,
24 hours each, to exprience something. Some have more, some have
less, but the speed of a second is one second in a second.
This time we can only use on a handful of things at the same time
and you are bound to make a choice.
And you will not make the same choices forever.
If people never changed,
your life would be the same as it was 10 years ago, no even 20 or 30 years ago
if you have enough time backwards.
At this point you have probably lost some friends you had,
learned to make some choices of your own,
stopped being afraid of something you used to be afraid of,
forgiven things you used to be bitter for and thus reprieved yourself,
found some new interests,
lost and gained trust due to something,
given up on something you used to fight for,
laughed at your own stupidity which you thought was the only way,
understood something which used to bewilder you so,
learned to see through the facade of someone you really never truly knew,
mayhaps stopped being as selfish as you used to be,
found a new meaning,
faced a truth.
Do you remember?
What a long road it was while you were still on it,
yet it looks shorter by far now.
But everyday is a checkpoint. The future may
feel like an eternity forward, but one tomorrow we
look back and see a trail which looks far shorter from here.
No matter how hard you run or how deep you dig,
struggle or flounder,
everything moves onwards slowly,
but years get shorter.
All things come to you when you stop searching,
all answers come to you when you stop asking,
because then – you are ready.
Show some virtue on yourself.
Learn it.
Something that is of you and given to you by you
must be something from you.
