Honestly I believe in God and the whole bible. I just can't can't respect him for it. Toying with lives the way he does making peoples lives shitty for his service. The bible even says were here for his own enjoyment.

Well, the old testament God was rageful, but in the new testament he is better and more forgiving,

I noticed that too, and find it strange. There is too much difference between the two of them.

Well I think since in ye olde days we really irritated God, exa. Sodomah and Gomorrah, Eve and Adam, Cain and Abel and so on, he got back at us, and then when we calmed through the inquisition, he became better

I'm a self acknowledged ignorant. There is not absolute prove that demonstrates the existence or nonexistence of god/gods.

Now, since it is possible to prove the existence of something, and it is impossible to prove the nonexistence, I should say that I usually go for the nonexistence part, but in the end I really have no idea.

It is not possible to disprove the existence of (a) God(s) because it isn't a rational theory; it makes no predictions and as such is not falsifiable: it can't be tested. Nearly anything could be contrived in such a way as to make it impervious to scientific inquiry, but it is only in religion that this seems to be overlooked and not then dismissed outright. Why we hold falsification as our standard for all other knowledge, but not religion, is rather bizarre to me.

Religion is an exception that we overlook because even if (a) God(s) don't/doesn't exist, religions are good (most of the time) by themselves.

In society they give moral standards and order. It is easier for masses to behave if they are afraid that an all knowing God will punish them if they do something wrong, than if they are just afraid of the government.

And in the individual level, religion gives a psychological relieve. If everything is going wrong, but you think that God is behind you, it is easier to go on, than thinking that you are all alone against the world.

People believe in the concept of a God because it's comfortable, even when it goes against reason.

eh, personally i belive that three things run this world...

  1. Money, seeing as how you can buy anything you want with money.
  2. Religion, seeing as how what better way to rule the masses than with an all knowing "god"
    and...
  3. sex....well this one is kinda self explanatory

in case you couldn't tell, i don't belive in a "god" cause i have no proof for it, but i don't deny it, since there is no proof that way either.

i am neutral in this arguement.

Maybe religion isn't exactly about believing in a "god" but rather a way of life to keep us as human as possible, instead of giving in to the animal within us all who kills, has sex, and abuses itself. And when I say human as possible I mean keep us sane, give us inner peace, and to do good...too bad some people even give religion a bad name these days, Islam for example and the Muslim people (who are basically followers of Islam, that's all it means) is not a religion of violence, I'm a Muslim and trust me, some people just give it a bad name. And you know what, I'm just another person that "says" something and yet the world continues to turn, when will someone do something or maybe that "someone" can be me! Or you! Or the person walking down the street! It's about time we do something!!! But no! I'm just going to sit my ass on my computer and that's all...teh... 😐

Of course there's a God. How else would we end up with an animal like the duck billed platypus?

God´s existance can´t be demostrated because it´s beyond the capabilities of human reason (still, Saint August made a demonstration).
So it´s a matter of belief.
You don´t "know" God exist. You "believe" God exist.
