Ace's Death

I mean seriously. 100 chapters was focused on this.

1. Luffy concentrated on something other than the sake of his crew.
2. He used Boa's position despite the enormous consequences if she was caught
3. Went down 5 floors of Impel Down, fighting enemies under absurd conditions
4. Was poisoned multiple times to an incurable extent, and had to lose 10 years of his life to continue
5. Risking an entire organization that had no affiliation to the him
6. Go back up 5 floors of Impel Down, only to face another adversary stronger than him and one that had already defeated him less than a day ago.
7. Lost a great friend who sacrificed himself to escape.
8. Immediately entered the war in the middle of the battlefield
9. Got PWNED by almost every non-fodder opponent he faced.
10. His body was unable to continue yet persisted despite aftereffects
11. 99% Success in his mission, but then everything screws up in one chapter!

Luffy, in the end of those 100 chapters, lost and risked everything, and was rewarded with absolutely nothing. 🙁
