I used to watch gundam wing a few years back and i recently re watched it and its the best gundum series imo but what other good ones are their.

So my question is what are the 5 best gundam or mecha series in the past 10 years that i havent seen.

I liked Gundam Wing and also Mobile Suit Gundam: The 08th MS Team. Don't think I've seen any mecha that wasn't Gundam

I've watched most of gundam series, if you really liked space war theme you might watch LOGH (Legend of Galactic Heroes) its much better than any Gundam series, its the same maker from Tytania, but with more epic story.

Five Star Stories is also good but the animation version cover only the first book.

great animation considered it was hand made back then there was no computer cg yet.

gundam wing is not really good, most of the pilot are freaks, but very cool battle action, cept that some scene are repeated over and over again.

Gundam 0079 (the first of the series , I didnt quite liked it, I disliked Amuro Ray, too much emo and anti social)
Gundam Z (Kamille is such a womanizer XD, but still it better than the 0079)

Gundam ms 08th (guerilla gundam war 😮 , this is my fav from UC series)
Gundam 0083 (really cool op song)
Gundam F91
Gundam Seed+Destiny (seed was ok, but destiny kinda ruined it 😛 )
Gundam 00 1+2 season (Gundam are terrorist here harharhar, good animated but the storyline bit weak, many unlikeable characters)

you might also consider to watch Macross Frontier, its has some of the best battle scene for a mere TV series, and many good songs too.

in the end I cant really recommend you anything.. even that I watched many gundam series, I feel most of them are mediocre at best, if you just go for the animation, then watch gundam 00.

Gundam Seed [well, it is gundam with strong-Drama in its storyline. and I love Drama]

Metal Overman King Gainer: A light mech series in the depths of Siberia
Eureka 7: An excellent series from Bones
VOTOMS: an older series but it is a good one
Xabungle: a light mech series that is fun
Vifam: Follows a group of children trying to survive on their own
Macross Plus + Macross: 2 of the best macross series
Patlabor: Mechs used by cops (recommend the TV series)

Gundam

Just because it's one of the longest running mecha series. Although some of the series in it ranges from incredible to absolute crap (incredible being something like 8th MS Team and SEED Destiny being absolute shit).

Second would be Macross. Not as big as the Gundam universe, but at least a majority of the Macross series are really good.

The only whole Gundam series I watched was SEED (and Destiny). I couldn't catch up with 00 and gave up. But I wouldn't exactly say it was the best mecha, or Gundam, series.

Overall, I'd probably have to say Eureka Seven.

Even though SEED was a great obsession of mine, Eureka Seven had a much more intriguing storyline.

I didn't read/watch many mecha series but so far my favorites are FMP and Code Geass 😀
