Gin confuses me.You don't know what to expect from.He is one of the most unreadable characters in bleach to me. Yea his smile is creepy but i kinda like it.
My plan was perfect but there was one thing I overlooked, one factor I failed to calculate, he's a dumbass...and there's no accounting for Dumbass....Ness. Agito Wanijima (Air Gear)

Well considering the end of the arc (if you've read it you know what I mean) it's pointing towards him being a good guy and undercover in Aizen's group to get something
After all he attacked Aizen and seemed to be helping Ichigo in a roundabout way. He also had that little moment before fell (I don't think he is dead though since no one ever dies unless they are a hollow)

I think it's the way mangas mature. You start out with a world of good versus evil, so the characters' alignments are clear and the readers can get attached to whichever side they like.
Then you realize that in the real world, no one destroys buildings and kills for the heck of it, and the psychos that do that are normally already locked up, killed themselves or just don't exist. So you give plausible reasons for why they did what they did, and once those reasons show - presuming that they're plausible - you start empathising with them. It's at that point where the manga has it's reader base, and can throw out the original and very arbitrary line separating good and evil.
Although, given his crimes, my simple answer is yes, Aizen really is a bad guy.

Truthfully, Gin is my favorite character from Bleach. I actually started to like him a few chapters before he died so it was shortlived. Anyway with that, I wouldn't say he was good, but I wouldn't say he was all that bad either. In the end, he mostly did it for Rangiku, and people do go great length for someone they really care about.
