bothering you again for some manga titles but i'll keep it short .

1. something similar to Papillon - Hana to Chou and by that i mean
   twin sister tries or successfully snaggs her possible boyfriend. if her sister betrays her over something it would be good to.

2. something similar to The Bride of the Water God
   ( thank you Hermit-chan for recommending it!)

Unjyo Rokaku Kidan - has the same basic plot as The Bride of the Water God... except it isn't manhwa and the art isn't really its selling point... and while I couldn't stand Bride of the Water God, I really like Unjyo Rokaku Kidan...

I didn't read much of the Bride of the Water God, but I think you could try: Star Trail is the Sky's Road.

Have you tried Divine Melody? Its theme is almost similar to Bride of the watergod.

also try reading these: (it has similar theme related to fantasy+marriage and conflicts)

Black bird <-- arguably good for its genre..wayyy better than Love monsters.. =_=;;
Otoko Hime to Mahou no Lamp <-- read the one-shots called Princess man and Beautiful face tribe.
Shinobi no Onna <-- Read butterfly night and Lovers in the Tower one-shots

also try reading the one-shots in Pure love stories

Exceptionally unique marriage themes.. =)
Death song <-- I love this simple manwha, the ending's awesome!
