EDIT: The reason people's ID #'s are higher than the actual number of registered users is because back in the day, mangaupdates used to be a scanlator only website. All accounts were subject to admin approval and we required everyone to give a reason to register. (so we could filter out the "I want to download" people). It just so happens that about 10k people did that.

Actually, most of the series I add are ones that are new projects for groups that just haven't been in the database yet. I don't go out of my way searching for series...For me, it's all about the releases, baby~

Interesting note. This wasn't my first MU username.

I forgot the old one and its password, so I had to make a new one, which is this one.

That one only had a few posts, though, so its not that important.

And yeah, I remember the old application process. My reason for joining was because I had a release to add, along time ago. It got rejected, lol.

sigh, i remember when i had more forum posts than manick the god of this geek country. I never actually helped the site though, no added releases, no nothing. I think i also only did 2 reviews, but lately i don't even have the timeto keep up with the forums.

Well, in my hay days, MU wasn't this comprehensive. /old fog. I once asked Manick if old releases were important, because I joined wanting MU to be a sort of uber manga database, but the idea was rejected. As in, "No b****! We're only about new stuff here."

I've been scarred from adding stuff ever since. Ha, j/k 😛 (he was very nice about it. Completely amiable).

I'm glad to see the gradually transformation.

Actually, go ahead and add whatever old stuff isn't in the database. Plenty of my list of added releases are old ones...

Just make sure you say that they're old releases and when possible, give a date
