I voted that feeling sadist is something I rarely feel inclined to act on. The aftermath of exacting a sadistic impluse leaves me feeling disgusted and/or depressed with myself.

Im not a sadist for two reasons one being that i couldnt care less about the pain someone else experiences. So long as their blood splatters the right way im fulfilled (this is because its a form of art to me). The other reason is because in order to qualify as a sadist you have to actualy find sexual pleasure from inflicting physical and/or psychological torment on someone else. In summary sadism is by definition a sexual perversion. Since lately people seem to have grasped the opinion that even having a sexual turn on makes you a pervert i'll explain that word while im at it. A pervert is someone with an aberrant sexual interest. For example if your a guy and like to wear women's clothing your a pervert, if your gay thats a perversion (nothing against gays). If the wind blows up a girls skirt and guys stare they are normal. What your supposed to take out of this is that if you are a sadist then you are on the same boat as the guys that gets off by wearing panties on their heads (and im not judging anyone). lol

I describe myself as one, but it's for the most part limited to bdsm and yaoi. I definitely wouldn't ever want to kill or seriously harm anyone - there's a difference between sadism and insanity. I hate blood and gore of any kind and absolutely detest guro. I don't even find slapstick remotely funny - actually, it makes me a little sick that seeing people in pain in supposed to be funny.

Sometimes acted pain is hot. Like that scene in Fight Club where Tyler kisses Narrator's hand and then pours lye onto it - as psychotic as it sounds to say it, that was definitely hot. Ditto to any time the 10th Doctor has been in pain. I wouldn't want to see people actually in that kind of pain, though, unless they liked it.

You know what's hot? Hurt/comfort! Without a doubt. And I'm not talking illness-themed fanfiction.

I can't really say I like to inflict pain on others. In fact, I don't like it at all.

But there will probably be one day where something will happen to change my mind. I don't know, I can't see the future. Hopefully it will never come to that though 🤣

According to your post this topic doesn't seem to be about BDSM term "sadism". I wonder how many people actually realize that sadist is a person who gets pleasure from other people's suffering. Sadism in S/M is different. And most people who say they're sadists are actually thinking D/s, not S/M.

i agree, i criticized the people that thought they were sadist's earlier but my post got deleted <_<"... the people that think they are sadists should look up the definition, or at least do some research.
