It depends on the language that it comes from... From first look, I would have used the Spanish pronunciation; however, it looks like you should use the French pronunciation... that is if you are getting these words from here...

Okay, I have enough money to buy an Intuos4 small, but the Bamboos are a lot cheaper and I'd save money buying a Bamboo instead. Since I have the money for an Intuos, should I just get one? Or should I just save money with a Bamboo? I'm trying to upgrade my current tablet (that doesn't have a brand name and is total crap) to a nicer one. I use CS5 and Paint Tool SAI for my art.

As said many times before, if you're planning to do professional work, go with the Intuos. If not, go with the bamboo.

720p vs. 1080p: I'm looking at laptops (~15 in. screen) and after a bit of googling, I've read that on such a small screen, there really is no discernible difference between the two resolutions. Can anyone confirm/deny that statement?

Why would you even consider that...
It depends on your eyesight (I personally can easily tell the difference) and the price difference between the laptops because the higher the resolution the better for movies and games and you can always change the desktop resolution to 720 P if you want

Scyfon is right. If you want to go professional Intous4 is better but the small one is too small to do good work and the medium is ..like twice the price of the Bamboo medium...I got a Bamboo to christmas and it's nice...easy to handle and understand....if you want "good+cheap" go with Bamboo and if you think like "professional+the price is not important"... go with intous4...but you only have the money for a small one and they are REALLY small so I wouldn'd even consider buying such a small one...thats the reason I wanted a Bamboo medium...as Scyfon said it depends on wether you want to use it professional or as hobby...if you want to use it for your hobby only I think Bamboo Fun Pen&Touch would be a good choice 😃 ...but thats only my opinion

Also, it depends on the person... and how much I like them...
As just friends... I'd say give her a CD of something that she would like but does not have... or a movie... probably a classic (like freakshow or a horror flick). However, it depends on her tastes and you should know her's better than any of us sods.
But make sure she does not hate music or watching TV (movies).
