From what I hear it is possible in theory but it can only take you back to the time that you finished making the time machine. Also it involves something called dark matter. But don't take my word for it. I'm just a blank.

Btw, I know someone who hates string theory. He says loop quantum gravity is where it's at.

Um. I don't think dark matter is the answer o_O
i got a question!..how is it possible to make a time machine with a worm hole?

ummm......it's not? I don't know. I'm just a panda. Seriously though, I thought a wormhole only shortens the journey of the traveler. Maybe the wormhole is connected to the String Theory somehow. But I call bs on the string theory, I don't like it.

It's really obvious actually. You have to use magic.

lol, whenever I get a question on a test i can't answer, I write down "you use magic" on the blank. 🤣

I have a question, does hicks exist in real life?
haha i just put down "Jesus knows the answer"...and to answer your question the closest thing i saw to a hick was a guy in a Ford truck with a confederacy flag on his back windowsheild

another question, when meeting a gaijin (outsider) for the first time, no presentations or anything, you just happened to overhear the name in a conversation, would most people call that person by their name or the last name? I know If you don't know someone very well, is very impolite to call them by their name, however I dunno if that rule applies to outsiders as well

Also if you only overhear the First name of said person, would you call them by their first name, or would you act as if you don't know it and ask for an introduction?

PS: How would Kyen (made up name pronounced as Kain) be written, spelled?

Since they haven't met yet the person approaching would introduce themselves first. Then the other person can introduce their self and they can decide what to call each other. It isn't impolite to address a foreigner by their first name since that is their custom. Usually they would just address the person as (first name)-san.

Kyen would be spelled ke - n (ケーン ). I based this on Kain rhymes with rain but the original spelling confused me so correct me if I'm wrong. 🙂

Thanks 🙂

To the question about time travel and wormholes

There are several theories about that, but I think you mean the one that says that you can send atoms (worm holes are atomic blenders after all) to the past, but can only go as far as the moment the worm hole came to existence

Is a more or less possible way to bend the rules of time space, but is neither easy or viable since a person would be torn apart until nothing but atoms remain >_>

EDIT: Now if we manage to create a stable wormhole IE one that wouldn't blend us to dead, then the theory sounds better

i got a question!..how is it possible to make a time machine with a worm hole?

Time travel machine using a wormhole would (hypothetically) work this way: One end of the wormhole is accelerated to some significant fraction of the speed of light, and then brought back to the point of origin. As a result of this, time dilation causes the end of the wormhole that has been moved to have aged less than the stationary end, as seen by an external observer; however, time connects differently through the wormhole than outside it, so that synchronized clocks at either end of the wormhole will always remain synchronized as seen by an observer passing through the wormhole, no matter how the two ends move around. This means that an observer entering the accelerated end would exit the stationary end when the stationary end was the same age that the accelerated end had been at the moment before entry; for example, if prior to entering the wormhole the observer noted that a clock at the accelerated end read a date of 2007 while a clock at the stationary end read 2012, then the observer would exit the stationary end when its clock also read 2007, a trip backwards in time as seen by other observers outside.

now there are two problems. First you can't go back to times before time machine's invention. and second wormholes are too small. they need to be extracted first.

It's not uncommon for Japanese people to call foreigners with their first name and add "san" in the end. They do understand that most non-Japanese are more used to using first names. Most of the time they even use their first names when they introduce themselves to you, to make you feel more comfortable. 🙂 In my one year in Japan I have never heard anyone call me by my last name.

Also, if you're a foreigner, you get a free pass to call them by their first names. They'd understand.

Assuming that it's pronounced as "cane" (as in candy cane), it'll be spelled as "ケーン" ("Ke-n", with a long "e" )

I have A Noob question.

In this forum, what constitutes a "SPAM post"?

In the other forum that I've joined, threads are usually locked if ppl post one-liners but it seems that some threads in this forum are locked when they're like getting controversial and debatable.. It's a whole different situation from the other forum that I've joined...

Edit:
..makes me wonder..
Are long posts discouraged in this forum? 😕

if you are off-topic then regardless of your post being long or short it is spam. so always and always stay on topic. if you want to discuss that stuff but it is unrelated to the topic you can always make your own thread and discuss happily.

No, long posts aren't discouraged at all. I actually don't see the problems, there are longs posts daily, no? It may be the lay-out of the threads that make it seem as if we write little while in fact we've written much.

Spam is basically being off-topic. I am pretty lenient though compared to other naughty mods. 😛 Flaming eachother while you're staying on-topic also constitutes as spam, but you can't do that anymore since controversial threads are banned for the moment...

Cries a bit. :/

You want to get banned? 🤣 Not much have been banned really. Besides the annoying bots that show up on occasions, several prominent members have been banned simply for being 'trolls'. At least in the mods' eyes, that is. Some names are;

Dark_Sage, Ares6, DirkBogarde... and yeah, that's sorta it, I think. And that recent guy called Shlongdude but he didn't last for a day on the forums.

Interesting to note might be that Forum Mods(such as me) don't have the power to ban people. Only Global Mods and Admins. In the past there have been misconceptions about that. And see, now that was a moderately long post, no? 😉

Though one guy's intro was crazy.

wow, I would have thought there would be a lot more people getting banned. Well I guess since there's a section for the naughty stuff, those people aren't violating any rules on that aspect.

I have a question, are all the old administrators of MU retiring?

Banning is supposed to be a last resort, so throwing around bans carelessly just isn't right. We give warnings first 😀 Unless you're a troll or a bot...

Not really, they just aren't around as much as they were or they are lurking. Real Life calls after all. I think Stealth came back a few days ago though...
