So I noticed that there was an IOS app but the link doesn't work. I find this site convenient so today I just decided that I should just make an android app for it. Only problem is there is no API so I had to resort to scraping the site for information. Now I don't want to do anything I'm not suppose to so I wanted to ask about whether or not this is okay before I go any further. I do cache everything (releases for 20 minutes, and everything else for 2 days) and I try to be a good net citizen by providing a user agent with my app's name in it. I might just decide to cache the groups and authors for a month or so. This is what it currently looks like for anyone wondering: http://i.imgur.com/0IfaKrO.png & http://i.imgur.com/Xc57DQs.png
Anyways I'll check back tomorrow and finish this thing once I have the green light.
I'll try. Currently I have a lot of information and I spend most of the time trying to figure out how I want to present all of this information. Trying to present an advanced search on a phone is taking a lot time right now even though writing the code to actually do the search takes me like 10 minutes.
So I finally added in a way to search for series. Manga updates has a really weird search (can't search for genre, title, or description at the same time). I should be able to have a beta build up in a couple of days with release notifications working. search: http://imgur.com/eW889FN
Forgot all about Thanksgiving. Anyways I'm just refactoring the code a bit before sending this out. At first I was keeping it simple with async tasks but I'm switching it all to Otto and using dependency injection where I can (android annotations is great) so that I can open source this without feeling bad.
