Due to ongoing DMCA notices regarding all series licensed in Jump/by Viz, Muda Scantrad has decided
to drop Rosario to Vampire Season II. This is partly inspired by what has happened at MangaStream and Red Hawk Scanlations.*

Viz >_<
Well, the story hasn't been very interesting lately, so I guess I'm not too annoyed they've dropped it (i.e I'm not so eager to find out what happens next), and I completely understand the reason why they've done this too.
I buy the volumes from Viz anyway. I'm going to find out what happens in the story one way or another. Viz actually do a decent job on this series, and they release the volumes at a steady rate I recon.
Well whatever. Whether someone else picks it up or not, I don't really care. Someone probably will. It's a popular series.

a few years ago, (when onemanga shuts-down due to C&D)
i posted here concering that publisher might launch massive C&D to scanlation teams,
my guess, now is the time?

My only issue is that viz and other companies are charging too much for manga and that is why people are reading online, even though i have around $4000 dollars of manga but still feel cheated out of money.

Hooray for pessimism!

Right after most of the file lockers have been burned, it was only a matter of time before these notices would begin flying left and right. If they don't put up their own online readers worth a damn though, then all this aggravation they are causing the scanlation community will just be them pissing in the wind.
I agree... They're trying to plug a sinking boat... But it's useless... There's just too much interest in manga nowadays... And me personally... i wouldn't pay for them. o_o It's too expensive for my country. Plus the translations are usually shitty... And they censor stuff. They'll soon realize it's useless to send DMCA letters... Because someone else will pick up rosario very soon i bet 🙂

Why inspired by RHS? They didn't drop anything.

Well inspiration IS a pretty weird thing. It comes to You from who knows where and causes either good or bad things. 😉
Either way it's pretty damn obvious that the series WILL be picked up by some other group, if it isn't already.
PS: Good luck Viz. You'll certeinly need it fighting against the "free market".

Dont see why they are going after groups like these that barely make a dime off of instead of a bigwig like MF, would definately set a example and scare alot of people out of their ass

some people complain it's too expensive per volume. Though manga in japan's cheap, shipping almost doubles the raw's price lmao. Nothing's better than free, so why not make a free official reader that is low quality/resized and adsupported. But include nice things like color pages inside the physical english volume/handphone charms?
People can always move to reading other unlicensed titles or buy second hand.

Now that's a proper reaction.
They don't blame other, they clearly state what they do.
RHS should learn from them.
It's sad, but understandable.
Good job until now, guys!!
