any good comedy manga that can match up to the standards like Genshiken?

i want a complete series if possible

things that i liked about genshiken:
good character development
not every chapter is about comedy ( if everything's just comedy it gets boring )
no dark stuff

genshiken is quite unique, that's hard! you may try Angel Densetsu or Beck though they are not similar at all.

Genshiken is one of my fav. I agree with previous comment, hard to find something like that, another comedy I like a lot is Mahoraba, but that's probably subjective. Also maybe GTO despite having a totally different kind of humor and feeling is a classic fun. I second Angel Densetsu but that's another kind of humor again, based on comedy of misunderstandings. About "close circle of friends thing" the most enjoyable one I recently found was Kokoro Connect anime (but I don't know the manga). If you want to stick to otaku subculture, Welcome to NHK! or Oreimo are probably two other good choices. Still as for most adaptations novel>anime>manga. The only ongoing ones are Kokoro Connect and Oreimo, everything else is complete.

I think all the ones I mentioned has a good character developments and aren't just gag comedy without any deeper situation. And no dark stuff. But how much you found them "to the standards of Gensiken" is up to you.

ive seen them all, except GTO (only saw a couple of episodes years ago on TV)

i dunno if GTO has lots of main characters that undergoes character development but the reviews are pretty good so i might give it a shot.
