There's a lot of shitty manga out there... and a lot of people who like that shitty manga. /sigh

its kinda unreliable to judge someones personality based on what they read. too many people read too many things, so all i can really do is judge their tastes.
its their reactions to what they read that you learn from.

I try not to, but if someone reads only/predominantly one kind of manga it's hard not to draw some conclusions (which may or may not be accurate) about the person.
Same here. But I want to add that it's not only what you read, it's your rating too (at least on here). For example: if someone reads a lot of one genre, but gives high ratings to another, I tend to assume that they like the highly rated genre and reads the other out of boredom/accessibility.

No, I don't judge people based on the manga they read....well, except the ones the who read only the most popular mangas out there like Naruto, Bleach and some others.
I read so much mangas, I'm too lazy to watch anime! 😛 😛 😛

I do judge people based on the manga that they read, I just can't help it. Although I don't actually like to hang out with people that share 'every single' taste as me, but I don't like to get too influenced into their likings.
I know it makes no sense, but that's okay. =3

I try not to.
But I tend to feel/be judgemental towards those who read only one type of manga and refuse to read anything else.
The shoujo reading fangirls and narutorats usually evoke those feelings...
I agree 100% with this. I do it too 🙂
Also agree with what poptart said.
Although I admit sometimes I've made incorrect judgements based on manga 🙁 I mean, i read a lot of yaoi, and I wouldn't like to be judged just on that. yeah, i get a first impression of people through what they read, and can tell if I'll have anything in common/anything to talk about with them from that, but you have to get to know a person before you can fully judge them 😃

Yes, I guess I do...Seeing I don't really know them, there's a high probability (even if only unconsciously) I'll create an opinion or label a person based on what he/she is reading...or what kind of comments they have on different series.
And if they don't like good seinen, I'll just judge them as morons. 🤣
