currently, anything comics from both of the major comic companies (DC and Marvel) are great. Green Lantern(DC) and Guardians of the Galaxy(Marvel) in particular are great and defeinatly worth the read. Geoff Johns has done some great things with the Green Lantern Mythos with the addition of different colored lanterns and the Blackest Night, seriously, it's great.

And then with Guardians of the Galaxy has a great back story that was set up by Annihilation and Annihilation Conquest (both of which successfully revived Marvel Cosmic), has a great cast of characters, and the writer and artist are great.

Captain America is also wonderful. As many of you know, Steve Rogers died in issue 25 after the Marvel Civil War and Bucky, his old side kick, had to take over the mantel. I only started reading during this time (Issue 25 and onwards) and i was really blown away. Great Great read.

You like Superman? Well, some of his books that precieded the New Krpyton arc was pretty great, which was basically Braniac and The Coming of Atlas. Never read Superman books a lot, but i really enjoyed these two events.

The Merc with a mouth, Deadpool for those who don't know, is another fun read. The Immortal Ironfist is great. Spiderman (THAT IS IF YOU DON'T CARE THAT HE IS NO LONGER MARRIED TO MARY JANE AND THAT THE COMPANY DESTROYED 25 YEARS OF CONTINUITY AND DESTROYED GREAT STORYLINES LIKE THAT OF JEAN DEWOLFE!) is okay right now i guess. The new Thor series is great.

Blue Beetle is probobly DC's best book right now...or it was...it got canceled. Personally, you can never go wrong with a good batman book...if you can find one. Battle for the Cowl looks kinda promising. Batman RIP was okay. Nightwing and Robin are okay every now and then. Anyway, the Legion of Superheroes (not to be confused with Legion of Superheroes from the 31st Centuery which is based off of the tv show) was one of those series that i really enjoyed and plus it helped me really enjoy Final Crisis: Legion of Three Worlds, which is written by Geoff Johns and a one of the only good things to come out of the whole Final Crisis thing.

But Invincible, written by Robert Kirkman and drawn by Ryan Ottley, is seriously one of the best comics out on the market currently. Seriously, defiantly worth a read. Wonderfully drawn, wonderful storyline, great characters...haha, don't want to give too much away, but if you're willing to start reading comics, you should start with this and read about 10 chapters...you'll be hooked.

If you're looking for a great graphic novel to read then read a one that came out recently called Joker. It's a noir novel that...it's just amazing. Art is spectacular and the authors understanding of the nature of the Joker and his relationship with Batman will just blow you away. Justice, drawn epically by Alex Ross who drew Kingdom Come, is another great one.

sigh....went super comic nerd on you guys. Haha, you guys should start reading comics, they're actually a lot of fun to read.
