Should we have a requests page for mangas that died off and groups can pick it up later

For example i want sumomomo momomo to continue but the last chapter that was released was 1000 days or so ago and no other group picked it up

This sounds more like a suggestion forum topic, than a manga general thread... And regarding your suggestion, consider the following:

(Modified 08/27/10) Asking for scanlation status will not be allowed. This means no asking "is this scanlated?" or anything similar. It also means to not ask for something to be scanlated.

Also, this thread. Finally, the series you've requested seems to be completely published in English, so why would a scanlation group pick it up now?
