About the same for me.
I've read over a hundred novels, but a lot of manga as well.
The comparison is difficult because sometimes I read loads of novels one after the other, not reading much manga. Other times I read loads of manga and not much novels.
Never both at the same time. Write now im reading loads of manga, but if I look at it overall I'd say about the same. 😀

Used to read about as much manga as I read novels... That all changed when I bought an eReader and (later) discovered fanfiction ^.^
Now I've fallen so far behind on many anime and manga that I'm not sure if I'll even bother catching up (if I had the time to do so).

I choose "I read manga more", but not because i don't read much books or the like, just because i read A LOOOT, of manga, like 600 pages a day when i'm busy, while writing this i'm reading three manga at the same time, i take a break from one in my reader and go to the one i'm reading online to later pass to the one i have on my hands, etc....

Also, i prefer Detectives, Fantasy and SciFy books, but that's not of matter here right?

About the same I guess? I read more manga stories but that's because novels and the like take longer to finish.

I read more books, definitely. This may be a strange comparison, but books are like my true love while manga is... a very good friend, I guess. And since I got a Kindle I read even more (I tried reading manga on Kindle but it's not very convenient).

Unfortunately, I don't read as much manga as I used to in the past.
Regardless of that, regular books have been in my life far longer and in a more consistent way (i.e, I can buy pretty much anything I want without worrying if it's ever going to get aptly translated).
If we're touching the matter of poems, I'll say that for the most part, I'm not a fan.

More than I read manga, that's for sure. One word, 'fanfiction'. 😛

I'm part of the rare group that only reads manga. I never really liked reading much, and would only do it for school. The reason I got into manga is because I wanted to see how the anime I was watching ended.
