It's like Luffy x Hancock pairing. I don't think this kind of pairing will do good for this sort of shounen series but I'm still rooting for Aoi x Oga and Furuichi x That loli Doctor, Lamia pairing =)

No, they mutually dislike each other, and I don't see that changing any time soon; Oga and Hilda acknowledging each other's abilities is as good as it's going to get. 😳

I doubt it would happen. For something like Beelzebub i think whatever happens in the romance area will probably stay subtle. On that note Furuichi x Lamia = win.

I doubt that happening. Their relationship would probably base on mutual respect, at most. I would really like Aoi x Oga but it must be a real slow one, seeing how battle-oriented Oga is. Meh, he's good like that anyway.

Yeah, like people are saying Oga x Aoi would be good.

About as much chance as Rukia x Ichigo. Which means no chance in hell. Only in fanfics.

On a side note, I think the only time I've ever seen the main guy and girl get together in a shounen manga is Groove Adventure Rave. Things never end well in a shounen series. Even a happy ending is usually bitter sweet (i.e. main character disappear on a journey, sacrificed etc).

There is no way that will happen... I think they have more of a fighting partners kind of relationship. On the other hand I think that Aoi and Oga will get together.

The scenario is the right one for it to happen. They are a couple to those who don't know the truth, they are responsible for raising Beel, who's their kid as far as bystanders know. Their relationship is developing, started out of hate and indifference, flourished into mutual respect and acknowledgement and the last events have been showing quite some concern about each other as in hilda's hidden worry when she tells oga that he'd make the demon world hunt him down for saying beel wouldn't destroy humanity but as we all already know by now unfortunately there's barely any romance development in shounen. They (oga and hilda) might go on a "date" (as the one with kunieda back then) occasionally and start to show some signs of love interest but that's as far as it would go I believe. Btw, although I like Furuichi and Lamia's characters and situations, I tend to think it's kinda sick for them to develop any romance unless Lamia's body just didn't develop normally for her age... She's just too loli for me to accept it. Sorry lolicons but she really looks like 10 or so =/

in the first place, hilda x oga has a higher chance of happening than oga x hilda but both are having the 'not interested in each other attitude' so it's not going to happen but then it's all within the artist absolute power and the way the story goes, they're more interested in oga x aoi

I'd like that but i don't think any relationships will get past the platonic level in beelzebub. Imo it would be a lot more interesting but the shounen label tends to mean any relationships outside of friendship are taboo. Apparently shounen boys can't handle the cooties. So while i think it's pretty unlikely, i'd still like to see it happen

Before this turns into an allout war between OgaxHilda fans and OgaxAoi fans, let me just say this; the current status of romance in Beelzebub is the same as it is in, say, Bleach. We could argue all day long about who's his one true love, present proof for our personal view, and counterarguments to the other sides view. But in the end, nothing so far is definite, because Oga so far hasn't shown a hint of special feelings towards either Hilda or Aoi, and it's probably going to stay that way until maybe the last chapter (which hopefully won't come for some years). Oh sure, you can interpret in some scenes that Oga has feelings towards either female, but let's face it. Some people appears to be capable of interpreting Ichigo having feelings towards Grimmjow!

That said, personally I'd like to see a bit of romance in Beelzebub, though nothing too explicit, that'd just feel out of place. But I'm fine with how it is right now, and don't mind if it stays this way forever. I mean, there's a reason doujins exist.

That's a good comparison. Like Botan and Yuusuke, I think Oga and Hilda are close, they have a strong common interest (Beel), and they have mutual respect for one another, but that's it. Hilda is totally focused on Beel, so I don't know if there will be any romances for her, period.

Aoi has romantic feelings for Oga and the two of them get more page time together in the manga than Oga and Hilda do, so if there is a romance, I think it's far more likely to be with Oga and Aoi.

Story wise, Aoi's feelings are an open secret in the manga (the only one who doesn't know is Oga, of course), so it might cause a lot of tension between the characters if Oga were to suddenly start dating Hilda. (For one thing, all the Red Tails would be pissed.) For that reason, if any romance happened with Hilda, it would have to be saved until the very end of the series.
