I thought this ending wasn't that bad. It was kinda sudden though. Too much stuff just happened. This still goes down as one of my favorites though.
As for tsunderes, Taiga wasn't that bad in the anime. She doesn't really deserve mega hate. IMO, she just changed too suddenly. Maybe I was dense or something but when she first confessed, I thought that there wasn't very much build-up or change to it. It kinda remained a sibling/good friend relationship and then a switch came on and bam.

the ending was ok at best. i had a smile on my face but that was all. al in all it is no Eureka Seven
It felt so unfulfilling for some reason.
Oh well, it was enjoyable enough.

I feel the same. Something didn't seem to feel right... I think it may have been the sudden switch from "let's run away!' to 'running away accomplishes nothing' And then the sudden absence of Taiga just to have her appear almost right away.
Meh, knowing me it's probably something as simple as why they didn't return Minori's lifesavings. 🤣
I would say the ending for me was good at best.
Episode 24 was what made me say "WTF..."
Because maybe of the all the sudden changes.
They could have added maybe 5 to 10 more episodes.
But overall I liked it.

Yeah, I found the transition from friend to lover really weird in the anime. She suddenly decided that she loved Ryuuji, and Ryuuji also suddenly accepts that.
For like more than 18 episodes, they just had a sibling relationship, and then BAM! I love you. 🤣

I have to agree that there seems to be something missing in the end. Ryuuji finds out that Taiga loves him one episode, then in the next episode he wants to elope with her. Maybe the novels go into more detail?
Anyways, Ryuuji obviously made a rookie mistake. Any guy should know that you always go for the model when you get the chance.

i think its cos jcstaff had to cram the last 3 vols in 6 eps 0.o
seriously, vol 1 - 7 lasted eps 1 - 20 then the last vol was done in (slightly less than) 2 eps; they definitely missed many bits out -.-'
hopefully the manga will be able to fill in the blanks =]
but overall, i'm content with the ending (though rushed ¬.¬). i want an actual longer epilogue, so come on OVA! =3

Really? So are the books worth the read then? Because if they did miss a lot at the end, (unfulfilled or not, it seemed pretty final the way things were paced) or if they missed some of that sibling to lover development, the materials for an OVA should be quite abundant.
That's interesting.
Maybe I'll go start reading the translated novel soon.
Or at least start reading it considering I put it off for how long.
Hehhe.
But I still overall enjoyed on how it turned out.
With the exception of the sudden transition.
But maybe the novel will clear up some things.

Guess I shall pick up the light novels then.
Cause that ending lacked...well...an ending.

from the end of ep23 to ep24 I were just.... 😕
The ending was just crap.. Could easily have ended it far better 😐
(Not sure how it should have ended, but the way it did was just horrible)
This life sucked. Where's the reset button?

I'm surprised by the amount of people who didn't know about the novel cramming since it's been such a popular topic/complaint lol.
well, I personally haven't read them (don't understand japanese T-T) but apparantly the anime did miss out on a lot of characterization (of all the characters, not just the main 2) and most of Ryuuji's inner monologue which may clear up his 'unrealistic' relationship with Taiga. As I recall, the novel actually explored and developed their relationship instead of the sudden, 'Oh, it seems that I have loved you all along' -> 'Let's get married!'
Buuut, don't blame me if I'm wrong, I only got all this from my friend =p
might pick it up someday if I find any in chinese =]
EDIT: oh yeah, forgot to mention, the novel should be a bit different (hopefully better) as jcstaff only had a rough outline of the main events that happened in the last vol from the author ^^

I found it enjoyable, but it'll never be one of my favs. I thought the ending was fine, just didn't care for how quickly they went from close friends to more (as so many others have previously stated).
