Ambiguous is quite undefined, you on the other hand have a very clear sense of what you're doing, or rather what you are trying to do.

Everyone is free to express his own opinion on any matter, however the meaninglessness of some opinions will render them pointless if raised in the wrong context.

Would one go to mcdonalds and orders an oil change for their car? Go to a book store and ask for groceries?
Spamming is in the same category of thoughts better placed elsewhere. No opinion by itself is ever truly wrong, but no opinion is ever by itself without a context to give it meaning.

Spam loses credibility for both the poster and the post as the meaning become irrelevant, reducing it to mere fodder for flames and more spam.

I didn't flame you, at all. I simply stated the truth. I could care less if you or anyone else likes me. My job is to moderate this forum and make sure it doesn't go to shit. I share this job with other moderators and admins, and we take it seriously because we enjoy actively participating in the community, aswell as providing a database of manga as an informational resource.

I personally feel the only times I have ever looked foolish here is when I am intending not to be taken seriously. Any other times, its business as usual. Oh, and don't think we havn't delt with people like you before. You're doing nothing here but actively trying to anger people. You hardly contribute to any thread you post in.

I don't need to lock anything, here. Doing that will stop others from posting to tell you how wrong you are, aswell.

The only cop out you'll ever get is when, eventually, you piss off the wrong admin, and then you're banned. Then you're cop out will be "Well, I was banned, I was gonna apologize, but it never happend because I was banned".

It's happend before with select members, and you're mirroring thier actions almost entirely.

I, personally, won't be the one to ban you. I enjoy your type coming around every now and then. It gives me a reason to post interesting thoughts and opinions such as what you're currently reading. However, what I do dislike is when your type comes around thinks, automatically, that because you're here you can do whatever you want. You can't. The only person that can do that is Manick, the owner. But, he doesn't, he follows his own rules aswell, because he likes to lead by example (Although, sometimes a lazy example. Yeah, that was a bit of a cheap shot, I will apologize to him later for it 😀 ).

I agree that everyone has the right to be heard. However, an unwanted post comes not of someones unwillingness to accept a different belief or theory on something, but from someone who adds nothing to the ongoing conversation.

Starying to far can be considered serious, because when one person does, others follow.

Wrong. Some members do not read full content of a thread. Alot of times only the first few posts are ready, usually by then the replier has an opinion or thought to openly add to the conversation. Some threads can be too long to read every topic. It happens.

Yes, that is true. We are the ones on this particular forum who decide what is spam. Its different other places, and some places even allow spam.

However, if someone has a different opinion, thats fine. They can feel free to discuss it, however, when it comes to the rules, their opinion has no baring on those, so either they follow them, or they become obstinate, like dirkbogarde has become, and refuse to follow the rules, which eventually leads them acting out more and more until they're banned.

You couldn't be more wrong. Seriously, you're zero for four, now. Not too good. Let me explain, further.

The original poster wanted peoples opinions on what they personally think spam is, or what it reflects. This be taken as a general definition, yes, but they asked for personal opinions, specifically. Even more so, they asked EVERYONE, that includes Mods and Admins, so we have every right to post our thoughts on Spam. It just so happens our thoughts are best summarized in the rules of the forum, so explaining them is the best way to go.

Also, please be advised that while this is an internet community, the Mods and Admins are just as much a part of it as the Members are.

Lastly, for someone who complains about the rules so much, to try and use them in you're own favor, you no absolutely nothing about them. There is nothing in the rules about posting in a topic before reading it. Alot of people simply don't have the time for it, so that would be a very stupid rule to make.

No, Lamb is saying he is going to lock the topic because its spinning out of hand. It's turning into nothing but a big argument, mostly between you and everyone else.

Thats neither ambiguous or ambitious, thats simply inciting anarchy, and that won't be accepted at all.

You're open to post your opinions, but if you're just trying to piss people off, you will be stopped from posting, period.

This is not, as you might think, just because you're stating opinions. You're actions are making other people angry, because you're not discussing them in a calm, rational matter. Because of the rules, are our jobs as Admins and Mods, we have to keep the peace. If that means silencing you, thats the action we will take because it is the logical one.

I was enjoying reading that, =( I like heated discussions that involve people actually writing a calm structured argument rather than resorting to insults and nonsensical flames.
Though, if only one person writes backed up, rational posts and the other wont listen it's a waste of time and (to write something relevant) ends up as unwavering spam.

But anyway, shoot me for being vicarious, I'll watch eagerly ^^

I think you're idiotic. I think you've nothing to add to any part of this topics conversation (Which I am right about). Did I ever state the conversation itself was pointless? No, I did not. Stop trying to put words in my mouth and use them against me. Thats the last act of a desperate man (or child, still not sure about you).

Based on the fact that I am the only one posting "calm structured arguments" and "rational posts", it's not hard to assume she meant you. While I have been tangenting lately, normally I do not. I chose to reply to everything in one post, rather than spam and reply multiple times. It's the proper thing to do. I'm surprised you know what megalomaniacal means. However, the word is hardly associated with me.

Also, insinuations based on your own opinions should be spoken out in full, otherwise nobody will believe you have the guts to do anything. 😀
