Stories with sexual crimes where cops are actually involved

One thing I've noticed over the years. I've seen lots of stories containing sexual abuse, assault, harassment, molestation, and other such crimes. At the same time, I've only seen all of ONE story that actually had someone bring the matter to the police following a date rape. Every other story I've seen, the culprit is ordered to leave the house and never come back, and never have any dealings with the victim or her/his family again, but that's it. The exception would be molesters/flashers, complete strangers who just randomly attack on the streets or in trains. But if it's a person who's been allowed into the house or lives in the house, nothing. It's even sometimes explained that someone's concerned that criminal charges would bring shame to the family.
My question then is simply, are there any stories out there containing a case of some sort of domestic sexual crime where the police are actually brought in and the culprit is actually charged. That, and I'd like to know whether this tendency in fiction is actually representative of the Japanese culture.
Combing logical tags just leads to rubbish but heaps of manga feature rapists in prison. Here are actual examples though 17-sai., Ikigami, Kiss & Never Cry, Oboreru Knife or Soil have what you are looking for.
There is a Punisher Max arc named The Slaver, where Frank hunts down sexual slavers for 6 issues. Such exist too for Batman and... you know what. US comics make rape a very serious business.
I also read EU/US comics and am a librarian.

Indeed. My biggest problem was that I don't see Japanese stories with domestic sexual crimes being treated as crimes. There are very few stories in general of sex crimes apparently, but domestic sex crime that involves law enforcement is practically non-existent, despite statistics showing that people with direct access through familial, platonic or other close relations are far more likely culprits. Huge contrast indeed to America where, from comics to live action, criminal investigation of sex crime is one of the biggest fads around.
