I find that webtoons have really nice coloring like animes and since it's probably a solo effort by people who have other jobs on the side and release every week I was wondering how it's done I mean is there a program that does this by itself shadowing and brightness and all fast because they can't be all professional at coloring right

but i think they use corelDRAW its really simple to use and i was able to make backgrounds like the ones in makoto shinkai's movies

for real ? I've searched makoto s movies in google pic and thats pretty cool , so in coreldraw do you have to draw shadow and light exactly or the color seems faint or is it always bright and all

They first draw the faces by pencil, and then use photo shop to color the people and backgrounds.

They use programs like photoshop to color. There is no magical program that will do everything for them. They put their own effort into coloring.

I know there is nothing magical about it I was just wondering because they are released weekly and all

It kind of depends, usually the ones that release full chapters each week have many chapters already completed ahead of time. Those chapters just sit there until their release date while the writers/artists work on more chapters. The webcomics that release a page a week don't really need to be as prepared because (depending on how much detail it requires) it can be completed in a few hours.

Jeph Jacques (I think that's how you spell it) has a unique way of doing it, that simplifies his colouring of Questionable Content.

There was one webtoon that actually showed several steps of the author getting to the final product... Unfortunately, I don't remember the title. But maybe someone else does.

And to be more helpful (since above is hardly any). There are programs designed specifically for manga such as manga studio (http://manga.smithmicro.com/). It does make certain things convenient, but by all means, it's no magic like any other drawing tools.

A special chapter of Orange Marmalade (Chapter 24.5) actually shows a step-by-step [but not a tutorial] on how the author gets the pages done. [I don't know if I'm allowed to post the link, but you can find then chapter in the manga info and go from there.]

thank you and actually 166291's tutorial was good although I don't fully understand but I'll just read more about it , I know manga studio but I haven't really tried it before because I know it's not magic and I think it makes back grounds , effects and toning easy but I don't think it would be suitable for a web comic ...ah I read the special chapter of orange marmalade like sarah-eats-cupcakes said because that's what you referred to and they do use photoshop but the author said just for effects he also said how many days it took and turns out webcomic mangakas have assistants and now my super human image shattered 🤢

It sort of shows how the artist/mangaka draws or colors webtoons. 😀
