I really liked this anime but... I didn't like how it ended.

This story was really sweet and i liked everything about it except the end that i think is really poor... It's like the author just wanted it to end rapidly so i was like whut ? Plus , the author said to webtoon live to stop translating his work and what i don't get is : why did he say to stop when it was already so near to the end ?! Maybe the author didn't think yet that he will end the story.. I don't know. But fortunately there was some authers siteweb that translate it so i was able to read until the end. Anyway good story but the end makes it goes 10 to 6 for me.

Kudos for going beyond just a high school romance

I really liked it. Or I should say what I love most about it is that the message it carries is so much broader than just a romance or discrimination toward a small group of nonhumans. It carries a message about tolerance and compassion that can be applied to any situation. What really struck me was that it branched into accepting the person you were born as and to live the life you want to lead no matter how others might view you. Definitely not what I expected from a vampire romance smile Anyway I wasn't as invested in the romance aspect since it was a little cliche, but I'm giving it a 10 for punching me right in the feels with the anti-bullying/anti-discrimination message. I'm a real sucker for things like that XD

It's also weird to say this, but as much as I cried and empathized with Mari and Jaemin, my favorite characters were Soori and Sihoo (^-^)

Ok I just finished reading awhile ago and omg this is just such a sweet webtoon!! For me, there were some parts that made me want to drop the series, but in the end I stuck to it and WAHLA I love it.

It had its ups and downs but overall this is definitely one of the best webtoons out there. Beautiful art, interesting story, great comic relief, and realistic characters that definitely are not perfect but try their best anyway. There is romance, there are strong and heartbreaking themes of discrimination and prejudice (toward vampires, but relatable to real life examples like racism, et.), and more than anything, it was a story of friendship and unconditional love.

The story of Ma Ri, the vampire who just wanted to be loved and understood in a world that still hates and fears the vampire race even after they are no longer a threat, is sweet, sad and full of hope. Her friends are all likeable in their own way-- I particularly liked White Hair (whose name I could never remember--actually, Korean names are just hard for me) and the jealous blond haired girl who is not as terrible and mean as she likes to think she is. Jae Min is interesting too, and learning about his past really helps you understand him better, though for a while I was really ticked off at him despite that. Actually, there's a point for all the characters where you want to yell at them to stop being stupid and get over themselves, but that just makes it better when/if they finally pull themselves out of that rut and figure things out.

So yes, it's sweet, sad, funny, and the loose ends were tied up quite nicely in the end. It's the kind of story that leaves behind a pleasant hopeful feeling that even though things might get hard, there are still good things to appreciate in life and there's always going to be something to look forward to.

I am not over-rating this webtoon. It is really great. Despite of some clishé it was still such a heart-warming read. I cried and cried. biggrin biggrin It might also be because I could relate to Mae Ri. Obv. not because I am vampire. Duh. But because of racism, which was pointed toward me since I was little. smile

of course the main focus is romance. however the author also tries to explore the ideas of stereotyping and bias. follow the journey of a vampire who tries to overcome her chilhood fear of being ridiculed and dumped by her human friends(if and when they find out her identity). my personal favourite is the vampire who makes his appearance midway through the story. he makes the story more interesting than the main characters do(the plot's a bit draggy i the middlle).

I feel that the story plot is pretty good for a webtoon. The author managed to pull my heartstrings (T.T in regards to Mari and Jaemin) and it's like I'm watching anime with all the coloured pages and all... it keeps me want to read on and on... hahaha good job to the author. wink

Overall, even though the story can be a bit draggy at times, but i will still recommend this. Good plot and art. wink

It starts off really interesting, continues on for a bit, gets a little less interesting more cliche, then picks up again : )
I stopped reading the series for a bit because i thought started getting bored (a couple very lame transition chapters, and i was a weekly reader since the time cheese was being scanlated by webtoon online, and the hiatus was at a boring part I think) and only happened to give it a shot again today and I found that I quite liked it!

I do admit the beginning is the strong point, but its worth it to continue reading, as the setting and the characters are interesting (girl being the vampire and the bias towards that. Pretty interesting for a shoujo)
The music aspect of the story is very weak though, so don't be reading it for that lol

I started reading this, because the art looked really nice. Well, and art is really the only thing, that makes this readable. The plot itself is stretching far more than I expected, even for shoujo. First, I stopped reading when I finished ch40 - which was a good idea. Then I started reading again and stopped before a new plot started - that was ch71.

It started as being interesting, then annoying and then boring.

When I first started reading, I gave this a 10/10 but now it's just so...boring. Mari is annoying, Jaemin is annoying. I honestly just wish they'd switch the story to that white-haired vampire. I find him a lot more interesting. This is honestly like a typical korean drama where everything is just sooooooo painfully predictable and dramatic. I hate dropping series, and that's probably the only reason I'm still reading this.
