well .... how I feel about real life incest really. I mean it's one thing if it's like, you fall in love and THEN you find out you're related but... to grow up with your sibling and still like them.... i don't know how i feel about that. even in manga, reading stories like that is kind of strange to me. :/

i want to use a word like "unnatural" to describe it but that would be kind of hypocritical of me, since I support gay marriage, wouldn't it. i just can't feel like it's the... same. but i mean, if you are both adults and it is consensual, then i won't condemn you, why not?

siblings and cousins is one thing, but i must say i cannot support mom/son dad/son uncle/niece ETC, that is just wrong, i'm sorry. not only is it incest but then, it becomes a subject of pedophilia and abuse as well.

If we're going to generalize things and say if two consenting adults are in love then they should be together regardless of who they are. I, myself, agree with gay marriage and find nothing wrong with it. But same sex relatonships and incest are two entirely different matters and shouldn't be placed on the same level (in my opinion at least). I think I've just been raised in an environment where incest is seen as socially unacceptable - it just seems so wrong... Gay marriage hasn't been looked upon that favourably either but I don't think one's sexual identity should get in the way of a relationship, whereas the idea of getting together with a family member turns me off.

However, I suppose there shouldn't be anything wrong with it as long as the people involved are happy with it. Who are we to stop them? If I'm basing my argument for gay marriage on the idea that two consenting adults can get together because of who they are shouldn't matter, then surely the same should apply for incest? I understand what you're trying to get at, but perhaps due to the social taboo and my own narrow mindedness, I simply cannot look beyond that and have to disagree with incest unfortunately.

Bottom line: for others it may be OK but personally I wouldn't engage in it.

they may not be born yet
and there is a good chance they are already dead

if 2 people find each other and it happens to be incest, id only realy be against it if it was a parent initiating it with a child, or if the child indicated it when they were less than 16. personally i knew by the age of 12 about as much as i know now about sex.

and id also be against them having a child, no reason they cant adopt, but with a fairly high a fucked up kid coming out.
