- Why oh why didn't Shinji go for Aizen's head when he had him confused? I mean, YOU HAD AIZEN CONFUSED AND SHOCKED. That's an achievement in this manga, and you decide to blurt out how your shikai works and even give him time to figure out how to counteract it?
Then it wouldn't be Bleach.
If you've noticed, everyone takes timeout to explain their ability, cause they are 100% sure that they will win and that this explanation will add to your hopelessness... Until this ability is countered by their opponent and they are sitting there with a stupid look on their face...
And Ichigo's entrance should've been better.

actually i think the ability synopsis are for the readers (because the auther is to lazy to do a narrative) so we are not confused when they use their powers otherwise its just manga clique

agreed.
Those ability synopsis always irritated me ...
"HAHA you are bleedeing! curious why? sit down i'll explain to you and then we will continue fighting. Anybody has tea?"
Embedding the ability synopsis into plot would be so much better.
Do you imagine Danzo stopping in the middle of the fight and telling Sasuke what technique was he using ? Haha..
Mayby he does that because of the enormous amount of fights there ?

I'm not sure what has inducing hoplesness in your opponent has to do with explaining to him what is happening to him.
The more he doesn't know about the attack, the more he doesn't understant the more he gets hurt, the more hoplesness imo.

True, But not in Kubo's opinion.
They're always like "Now you know you have no chance of defeating me"

if kubo put the explanation of the shikai/bankai/etc in thought bubbles
that solve the problem of explaining things to the reader while at the same time, having an advantage against the enemy

it seems we are forgetting that this is manga and that things like screaming out your attack name and explaining shit you shouldn't explain is part of the presentation so just shut up and deal with it, if you've read any 2 shounen manga or watched anime then this shit should be obvious.

Thank you, Captain Obvious. 🙄
The reason why I was pointing that out was because I hate how Kubo made such an awesome character become a dumbass so quickly.

I'm not because there are times when Kubo's genius shows and it makes me wonder why it comes up so rarely.

Yeah, its actually sad that it took me 387 chapters to realize that Bleach has retarded fights, or rather retarded fighters... Mayby those sparks Kubo genius along the way mislead me... Or mayby while reading other mangas I discovered that when fighting a character doesn't have to explain his every move to his oponnent and shout names of his attacks.. The fact that other anime/manga have something like this, shouldn't be a reason for him to use this mechanism. He should have risen above old standards during the years and make something better. He had enough time. Instead he is not improving. But well I think that it's the price for having mass audience, everything has to be simple in order for everybody to understand.
