Ok this is my theory on dolphins:

Some super race of mammals populated the earth then they corrupted the planet with pollution and furies so then they had some war and there was an anti-matter power plant and it got attacked by nukes and they were all like oh no its gunna blow and they had to take action and they made some underwater base in the middle of that big hole thing under the sea. So they did and they genetically modified themselves to live underwater and then the thing blew up and everyone died but the underwater base exploded and all the dolphins mechas exploded aswell so they couldn't kill the humans from evolving. The humans evolved but the dolphins were angry so they slipped drugs into the water to give them cancer and stuff and stop their genes developing.

Does being evolved necessarily mean excluding stuff like wars and pollution? I mean if we lived in caves we couldn't even build factories to produce this pollution. Being too exacting towards humans is silly. Yes, we have problems. But we'll gonna do something about it eventually. Unless we all die, of course.

Well i see this pollution and wars as a stage in our evolution.

If we don't overcome this then our race will die out.

Humans are the virus of the world, no matter how much a virus evolves it will always try to eat away it's host. Otherwise there wouldn't be so many problems in the world, like global warming.

wowow,that's like a quote from X/1999!!!! 😀

Don't forget the poo flinging, they can do that without regret too.

I say yes we are the most evolved creature, at least on land. What we evolved was curiosity. Can I live easier if I stand up? Why yes, yes I can. Can I kill that animal that is a food source easier with this rock? Well what do you know, it worked. That animal has a thick fur and doesn't seem at all bothered by the cold in the winter, if I kill it and wear that fur will I be more comfortable in the winter? sure enough. That fire sure did some weird stuff to those rocks, look they're all melted together, I wonder if I can use that some how? Look a new sharp pointy thing that that is more durable than rock...and so on. Yes we are fragile, but what creature on this earth isn't. Does our curiosity get us in trouble? Yes quite frequently. Are we slowly destroying the planet we're living on? Most probably. Is there anyway to fix this problem? If we bother to get the right people working on it soon enough, I'm sure we could come up with a solution before we stupid our selves into extinction.

Which leads me to one of my favorite quotes:
Individuals are smart, but groups of people are big, dumb animals that will spook at the slightest thing. ( it's not exact as I don't have the book with me but it came from Belgarath in one of David Eddings' books.)

humans are weak (physically). we use materials to make ourselves strong, we're on top of the world ow because we're SMART.

It depends on what you compare them to. 🙂

Define SMART. Because the way we are running the things, I find that we're pretty stypid.

I like the virus comparaison (although it is a quote from Matrix 1). True we are killing slowly our hoste. I just hope we will become quiescent fast. But be sure that when we'll find a new one, we'll be as active as ever.

@mamsmilk: yeah.. hmmm. i dun really no how to explain it.. i guess compare us to all the animals, what level we're on? hard to explain.

@mugglezor: we aare the smartest animal and because were so smart, we're classified as a different species, humans. smart as in..... argh, hard to explain again...i hope u get wht i mean..we created language, tools in the beginning to the internet and light. no other animal did that. sry for my crappy explaination. smart not as wht we're doin to the world, but smart as in..intelligent i guess?

wow, i like what you're thinking...the concepts of superiority & inferiority were originated from us.....like religions and science, those concepts were invented by human for the satisfaction of ourselves......normal animals don't seem to care....they live by heir own instincts and habits, unlike humans, who just have to find out what happen when you chuck some iron & nickle nucleus together (bye bye hiroshima) what sets us apart, curiosity, is also what is going to destroy us......it seems to me that the human race is nothing but the last imperfect creation to this earth, in this cycle of life......we serve as litterers to trash and destroy this planet the best that we can, like a closing to this phase of evolution...maybe next time, some new planet will be formed in earth's place, where evolution would be more forgiving and wise to make its next race less destructive and more instinctive

Polite bump.

I don't think we are. We still have so many faults, despite all the good things/skills we have under our command. We still have a long way to go. Just because we can consciously think, and create a whole moral system, so that we could live in a big group without acting on our base instincts, doesn't mean we're superior. We're gifted with the highly potent skill of thinking, and we've come a far way with that. 😮

We are still animals! 🤣 That pretty much says everything I think about this matter. We can say we are rational beings, but our rationality is limited as well, so that is it.
