Saw Surf's up recently and noticed many new CG animated ones are popping up more in number every year. I actually started out with these animated movies before I even went on to read manga and see Anime. I guess my best will always be Finding Nemo 😀

However, it seems the world is understanding how animation is actually not only for kids but also for older teens and also adults to enjoy, maybe I am a lot late in saying this too ^_^;; . SO(!)..whats your latest recommendation? Shrek series is pret-ty cool and a fourth is coming up apparently in 2010. Found a whole list at wiki where they even gave an upcoming list till 2011!!

--> I repeat, whats the latest you've seen that you cant wait to spread? (more than one recos is cool)
--> what do you look forward to see?
--> what have been your all time faves?
--> any other question that you wanna add..

I have seen lots of trailers...and I look forward to watching The Tale of Despereaux, it looks so cute! 😃 and though Bolt looks cool, I wanna see Kung fu panda, specially since they have Angelina Jolie in it, as Tigress and Lucy Liu as a snake....so whats your input, folks? 😀

PS:- Please limit choices to 3D animation not 2Dsince the latter covers lots of ground.....3D would be the ones where the animation has texture like the ones mentioned above..

I really want to see Wall-E, considering as of the time I post this it is at #6 of imdb.com's top 250 movies of all time, 1 upping the legendary Schindler's List and even the frickin Star Wars and LOTR films.

As of my favorites from the past: Toy Story 1&2, Monsters Inc., Ice Age (was not a fan of #2 though), Shreks 1&2 (#3 was nothing special). I guess you could count FF7 Advent Children as well, but that's the only Japanese one that comes to mind.

Yeah but it only has just over 8 000 votes. I think it will go down once it gets more votes.

I liked Toy Story, Ice Age 1, Shrek 1, Ratatouille, Monsters Inc., Finding Nemo, and I liked TMNT as well, but nostalgia probably played a large part in that. WALL-E looks like it might be kinda cool.

They've become really popular and it seems like 2 or 3 get churned out every year now. Most of them don't look very good and seem to just be jumping on the money train. I guess that's just the way it goes, though.

On the Japanese end, as a FFVII fan, I liked Advent Children, but if I wasn't a fan it wouldn't have been anything special aside from the technical merits. I didn't hate Spirits Within as much as most people seem to either. The two Appleseed movies were pretty cool too, though nothing spectacular.

Advent Children wins~ ... Period! xD
I don't like looking at American CG animated movies apparantly.
Never got into the rage. >_<

The only one I found good was Toy Story! xD Ah~, good childhood memories.

But yeah, I agree. They're making a lot of them these days. Seems they discovered a new market?

Appleseed and the Sequel are excellent. I also enjoy both Final Fantasy movies. There is also a couple other anime movies that are cg that are amazing. I am not a huge Pixar fan myself.

FF7: Advent Children was best in nearly every aspect, the rest of the CG movies lacked that certain "oomph" AC had.
Probably because they're so cartoonish and even though they've got -very- realistic graphics, the character design ruins it all. AC was pure eyecandy and took advantage to the fullest of the CG engine to make gravity-defying hair look normal 🤣 .
I'd like to see some more realistic, mature CG movies for once.

Don't expect that from the Western market. 🤣 Maybe someday, when they decide to come out of the sandbox~ 😛

Hmmm..seriously, you guys dont have any taste that extends beyond Japan? It has to be Japanese? No offense, but I was wondering about non-Japanese 3D movies here mainly but... 🙄 ..honestly, I miss the dialogues so much which wont have the humour in English, that I have to switch to International releases...Not being valiant and all that coz ur sister/brother/mother/father died and a bad guy popped up and u became a samurai hero or a robot/Gundam driver or something...something with a little day to day humour to relate to..

I'm not a Weeaboo. 😛 I'm just looking for super serial stuff. 😛 I never did have a thing for 'soft' comedy. Give me Dave Chappelle comedy. 🤣

Guess tastes differ though. 😀
