Licensed (in English) locked?

It seems that every series right now no longer has the [Edit] beside this part in their series info even though some are licensed now but it still shows "No" in that field and can't be changed.
Rosario to Vampire is now licensed by Viz but still have download links available on releases. It would be great if someone would change the status of the series asap.
Gimmick! is another series with "No" in the licensed section even though it's licensed by Viz.
If this sort of thing has another topic already I apologize and would request to be directed to the topic for future references.
Thanks.

Could it be they're licensed as in declared to do English licensing, but no actual Englsih licensed mangas for it are out?

It's still licensed either way.
Rosario+Vampire Vol. 1 will be out in June, same with Gimmick!. But licensed is licensed, there's no such thing as half-licensed.
Anyways, thanks holy bell for the help and link. 🙂

I contacted Manick. Hopefully he'll post an explanation soon

Originally, it was locked because if someone DID change it to "yes" (as in it is licensed), then all the download links for the series would be deleted, with no way to recover them. Basically, the lock of that yes/no field was a safety (in case someone really bad decided to mess with the database).
However, with Manick's help, you guys can sorta edit the field, but it's submitted like a change request, with some stuff automatically filled in for you. In the end, admins still make the final decision. (And give us the publisher name so that it's easier to check the validity of your statement)
(And yes, I can double post since I'm an admin. Sucks for you guys)

I see, that's reasonable enough. It was just weird that the license status didn't match up with the publisher listed with no way to change it before.
Totally didn't know it wipes the download links... 😲
